It's great because you get an awesome selection of everything dealing with music. What is great is if you have a Prime Account is that you can download all your songs to your phone for freeish. If you have a road trip planned, you know you will not always have a cell signal or a radio signal. Which means you either have to deal with CDs, whatever you downloaded from iTunes or your crazy Uncle Eddie's singing. Personally I would just stick to the Amazon Music app. Edit, it now sucks because it is a subscription service. It didn't used to be, thank you corporate America.
This serves as my main music player and it's great. It would be more stars if there music catalogue was bigger. I have been quite surprised when I couldn't find some popular tracks on it. Some of their prices are a little on the pricey side for a single track. Have to say it is so reassuring to know that the cloud holds all my purchased tracks ( about 300 ) after loosing several phones.
Loved largely because it doesnt prevent you accessing your music in other ways. Easy to use and understand. Simples. *Update* Lost a star as creates a short gap between consecutive tracks, so continuous albums become individual tracks whether you like it or not (always a challenge for non-Apple players). 2nd update: further lost star as the app seems to hang if you try and use it without wifi or mobile data - even if the music is on your phone.
Overall it is a good music app. Pros: no adds is a major plus, playback, sound is quality good, can have multiple accounts for prime members, play offline. CONS: Not a great selection of music compared to spotify or iTunes (even for prime members) unless you pay more $$$ smh.. and even then it has less of a selection compared to the competition, and can only upload a small limit of songs to app (even for prime members) unless of course you pay more $$$. Smh
This app used to be awesome. All the music I purchased via Amazon was instantly there. Any music input on my phone was instantly there. Now, I can buy direct through the app and the music I buy through Amazon doesn't instantly go tithe app. They jeep trying to force me to try their purchased streaming. I don't want to stream or purchase their streaming. You'd think the money they get from me every month through mp3 purchases would be enough, but no.
So far so good. More impressive than YouTube Red... Just canceled that worthless membership. Unfortunately, I won't be able to afford to pay for the subscription past the 30 day free trial but would if I could. User friendly with operational vastness. I'd promote giving the trial a shot, it's worth a try =)
Amazon Music has a brand new look! We've replaced our ≡ menu with a more convenient bottom navigation. Control playback while browsing with our new circular miniplayer. Drag it to the right or left to skip forward or back in your tracklist.
