Prime member for a few years now and had no complaints until this new update now I purchased songs and they listed as in my library but they are nowhere to be found, I've tried refreshing my music and everything it says in the help menu and get no results. Can't keep a 5 star rating like that
As a long time user of Amazon's MP3 Cloud service, I am very happy with the current version. The added attention to visuals of the artists is an especially nice touch and I have found the X Ray lyric feature to be pretty handy. And now with the enhancement of both Alexa and Chromecast support it continues to improve. My only complaint would be that it no longer includes the equalizer function. I would love to be able to get a little extra bass boost on certain tracks in my cloud collection without relying on a separate app.
A great alternative to Spotify. A welcome effort by Amazon. A few issues that need fixing, language filters. Some of us do not want Hindi or regional languages to show up and have to manually remove them despite selecting only English in the preferences. The app also sends push notifications which interrupt the music currently playing. This is an absolute NO from a listener point of view. When getting a message or some other notifications on the phone, rather than pause the music for a few seconds, let the volume dip momentarily and then resume once the background notification has passed. Keep improving this app team. Lots of potential! Eager to see what this holds in the future.
I like this app a lot, except there's one problem. If I download a song or album I've purchased to my phone, and then accidentally delete that song or album from my phone's music library, the app still lists the song as downloaded, and therefore I'm unable to RE-download the song and get it back onto my Samsung Music Library. Please find a way to allow it to re-download a song to your phone library, and then I'll rate 5 stars. Until then, its a 2.
The app is decent. It has a great variety of music with awesome quality that make it enjoyable to listen to. However, it can be extremely frustrating using it. It's not very easy to use, some of the settings and controls can only be accessed from a particular window but you can't just bypass everything to get there. You have to physically go back through each window you looked at until you get to where you find the settings or control you want. I would personally like more of the setting and control options available at the window where I have and can see the music playing.
Chromecast Support: You can now select music on your Android device, and have the music play on your Chromecast enabled devices.
The Amazon Music app now features Alexa. Tap the new “Alexa” button and ask Alexa to play new music, play a song by its lyrics, play work-out music, or many other Alexa supported commands or questions, all from within the app. [US, UK and DE only]
Alexa is available for customers on Android Lollipop (5.0) and higher.
