So now this app has decided what of my music I may or may not listen to. Slowly but surely more and more songs will not play. I select the song, all of which used to work fine, and it plays the first second or two before stopping and refusing to continue. Now, more that 50% of my playlist refuses to play. Sure glad we got some new, unnecessary, UI cluttering playback features though...

I used to consider this one of my indispensable apps. Unfortunately, their latest update has made it impossible to stream for long periods without interrupting the stream and asking if you still wish to listen. This has crippled the usefulness of this app as a source of background for sleeping or working. If you like to let the music stream over WiFi you can now expect to be treated like an idiot who doesn't know how to hit the stop button. It was bad enough that they took music that was previously available to subscribers and restricted it to "Unlimited" but now they are treating people who are paying for this access as if they are getting a freebie. Until they give users a means to turn this off, forget it.

I have always loved Amazon music and I bought my now-obsolete $10, 000 cd collection there. There are quite a few albums from my music that are missing from the Amazon Unlimited catalouge... Example: German rockers Scorpions albums _Pure_Instinct_ and _Eye_To_Eye_. Additionally the app freezes entirely too often and some folks could do some work on improving that! The problem with app freezes has escalated to all out crash-and-burns! I Love this app, so wish the developers could upgrade and thus improve it. Really has become a true problem!

I knocked my rating down 3 stars from 5 to 2. The app is so much slower than my other music apps. I was/am invested in Amazon's music section. I have a good amount of my own music collection uploaded to their cloud plus any music I buy from Amazon is also there, PLUS there is a lot of free Prime to listen to as well. The app used to be peppy, but I find myself using Pandora to stream, or the inbuilt Samsung music app to listen to offline music. It's so slow that sometimes I just can't use it at all.

It freezes and hangs on a regular basis if my internet connection is slow. Namely on a mobile connection. Never had that problem with spotify. Music selection is good and it costs less than the aforementioned. The app leaves a fair bit to be desired though...

I am happy to have quite a few songs included with my Prime membership. BUT I am super bummed that SO many songs I love aren't free but are being used as bait to get me to upgrade to a monthly music membership. I just discovered 4 songs on my playlist have been moved to the pay per month service so I can no longer listen to them. If I lose too many more songs this way I will be shopping around for a new music program. I don't like being coerced into upgrading!

This app is a biggest single piece of marketing, ram-it-down-your-throat ever now. You can no longer buy music. You have the music unlimited feature rammed into your face with no option to buy or add the requested music to your prime membership as I had just 7 days ago. It's gone from a half decent app to a useless pile of rubbish that merely plays your music. Try something else. Simple as that.

I used this app constantly, on 3 fire sticks and 2 kindles and on both my phones. Loved it..... Until this update has stopped me streaming Bluetooth music to the car it constantly skips and buffers, I've reconnected, reinstalled and reading downloaded and still won't stream Bluetooth as it did just 5 days ago.. This update has killed it for me and if it isn't resolved I shall be cancelling my prime membership

Would be nice if we could like songs from the notification bar and needs a cast to option to send music to external speakers like play music. Also need better integration with google now so that i can ask the phone to play a song. Right now it only opens the app

I used to have Amazon music on my Kindle Fire. It broke a few months back, and I was absolutely thrilled that you could get it on Google Play--while keeping all of your downloaded songs via Amazon. Amazing!

I love the large selection of songs, especially with unlimited, that I can listen to on my computer, phone, or echo. It's so easy to add albums to my library and download them to listen offline. The stations are great for discovering new music.

I use to think this update was great, until I tried to buy an album. Intimacy by Bloc Party. I search, and it pulls up the single,with no option to go to the album for purchase. I search for Bloc Party, it goes to the artist page, but only shows top albums. All along the way, it tries to sell me music unlimited. Why is it more difficult to just purchase now?

A once very good app that I'd been using for the last couple of years has had its functionality vastly reduced in relation to searching for music, ease of navigation, downloading purchases, even down to limiting what you can search for UNLESS you pay for "unlimited music" each month. I also strongly resent, as a paying "Prime" member, being continuously prompted to sign up for "unlimited music".

Great app once you subscribe to unlimited. Good choice of songs, although I the recommended/genre playlists could be less generic and involve some up and coming talent. Still a 5* app though

This would get 5 stars from me if it was easier to add music to new playlists, easier to reorder the playlist, and easier to delete songs from playlists! Google Play does these things but I would switch to Amazon in a heartbeat if it was easier to edit my playlists!!

Awful UI, very unclear when trying to purchase tracks, no indication that you are about to purchase anything or payment options, no obvious indication of download in progress or alert when download is complete, if download works at all. Worst of all, however, are the constant and annoying "amazon prime" pop ups and notifications. I won't join prime for this reason, and because I'm not made of money. Stop pushing it!!!

Don't waste your time! Not a great selection of songs, most of what I search for isn't available. Started using Amazon Music when we got Prime. It definitely falls short compared to the other service I was using. Also has removed many songs on my play lists that were originally available to only be available for more $$.

It's an ok app. The only problem is that every time a pause a song it closes the song and I have to start from the beginning, it sucks because I don't want to continue to pay 10$ a month for an app that doesn't work all the way. Please try to find out why it's doing that and fix it.

I like the app, the only thing I have a problem with is that when you're trying to build your play que you have to be so delicately care or the song that you're trying to add will come on and your que that you've been building for the past 5 minutes is gone. If they could change that then the app would be perfectly amazing!

Downgraded to one star. I got a new, bigger, SD card and this app is incapable of downloading my whole music collection on to it without a constant stream of errors. It's been almost two weeks and I am still having problems getting it all synced. Hopeless piece of rubbish.

In a stunning example of corporate disconnectedness, Amazon has released a music app that has no awareness of, or connection to, their Amazon Echo. In order to use Amazon Music on Echo, you need to control it from within the Alexa app. Which is STUPID. Spotify allows me to stream to Echo, easily. This makes NO SENSE. Come on, people...

The developers refuse to add Chromecast support, if you are looking to use Chromecast spend your money elsewhere. Google Play Music and Spotify are both better alternatives. This library is going to decrease is quality in an effort to push a premium subscription. I already pay for prime. It might be time to drop Amazon subscription services all together.

Recently reinstalled this to give it another try... Handles my large music collection & stays relatively responsive. Love the Prime playlists, seem well curated. However refuses to download anything which makes it pretty useless for any offline listening :-(

This app is the best music app. I find all the Christian songs I love to and I can easily download and listen to my music offline; no data usage and surprise phone bills. LOVE IT!

Terrible for listening to music offline, only allows streaming. I spent a great deal of time downloading music I like and when I go to play songs offline, it doesn't do anything. Will also randomly delete your playlists and you can't create a playlist bigger than 500 songs.

App will not stay running in the background. Pausing music playback, and waiting a moment, will result in the app closing. Also, audio-ducking doesn't work, so things like navigation can't be heard over music playback (this isn't a problem with any other music player I've tried).

This app is always going to lack credibility until it gets Chromecast support. I find it rather clunky when it comes to giving me access to my library and there doesn't seem to be any obvious way of distinguishing between my purchases and tracks zi only have access to on subscription. Sadly the Prime Music selection is rather limited.

This app is full of errors doesn't add songs to your playlist half the time and doesn't save changes to your playlists just a message keeps coming up as error. amazon needs to improve this app a lot or an update at least to fix the bugs.

This app is too large. It takes up way too much space on my phone. It crashes occassionally. I don't like the new interface. I don't like that now I can't purchase a song in the app if it is available on Amazon Prime Unlimited as I'm not paying for the music subscription. I have to go to the Amazon app, buy the song, and then download it to the app. Too much work. I don't like that you can't use the app for offline music if you don't have a data connection. If tou are in a bad service area it would be nice to listen to offline music, but you can't.

It's a great app, however I'd like them to add continuous playback. Albums like Abbey Road just don't sound the same without it.
