Good, but I've been using Amazon Music for several years. I love that I can access my music from any device. I'm also enjoying Prime music. Here's my problem: since I updated to Marshmallow on my phone, I have no cover art. Just for Prime, not anything in my library. Where'd it go? How can I get it back?
Prime rules the world As if there aren't enough perks to being a prime member; why pay for Pandora and Spotify when prime is just as awesome, but much more perks!
(Almost) every record ever recorded If you have an Apple phone, stop reading now. I have had Blackberry and Android phones and while you can download and listen to records offline, for reasons I don't understand, most of my downloads have to be listened to through the Amazon music app, which is fine. If you have an iPhone, you seem to be more or less limited to streaming and using data.
After Marshmallow update: Found a fix... After Marshmallow update, this worked for me to allow app to play music that wouldn't play prior: Using ES File Explorer app, I searched for an artist/song I knew was on my phone from Amazon(or could search for "mp3"). I selected a song and selected the Amazon Music app on the pop up list of player apps. ES Explorer asked for Permission to access the song file, I allowed it & it played. From that point on, all the other Amazon music files were able to be played in the Amazon app.
It's ok. Not a great selection metal wise. Spotify is way better in that regard. Especially having an artists entire catalog. Default audio quality is questionable as well. Great add on with a prime membership though.
Needs work Not able to easily select all songs into a library. Always starts with first doing in library when selecting shuffle. Poor shuffle selection. Poor screen saver UI - would like to see where in the song I am and slide back and forward in time.
General improvements & bug fixes.
