Camera works fine for live view. Paid for cloud service but it won't record properly remotely. Ironically, it recorded fine as long as I was physically at the camera location. Set up at nursing home using Direct TV internet service. The agent told me that I needed to use a SD card and email support for a refund for my non loadable cloud service. SMH.
It simply stopped recording even I only have a free 4 hour recording window. The sdcard is recording OK but the cloud is not working. It worked for 2 days and I haven't change any settings n then it fails to record. NO GOOD
Getting anybody from Tech Support to call me is terrible. They tell me to watch videos to get started, and thus far, unable to get account going with bullet camera and getting zero help with Amcrest View and Amcrest Cloud. I need step by step phone help to get going.
What a complete waste of my time. I'm an engineer & would not recommend it to anyone. The software would see the camera initially & then never again. The only good thing that came out of it was I am able to use the bracket for my Arlo which works well.
Camera works for live view. Push notifications stopped working after about a month. Now I get no recorded events and no notifications. I paid for a whole year's worth of cloud storage. Don't waste your time. Camera is great, the apps work most of the time but when problems arise you have to dig deep to find solutions. Edit - I can't remember where I found the suggestion but I unplugged the camera and let it sit for a minute. Then I went into amcrest cloud from my computer and deleted / reinstalled the camera. After setting it back up it is working fine again. To log into camera and set event alert zones you will have to use Internet Explorer. The plug in for the camera doesn't work on Firefox, Chrome, or Edge.
Works half the time. Constantly get black screen. 2 different locations so I know it's not an internet issue. Run connectivity test each time and it passes both tests. Looking at Arlo cameras as they don't charge a monthly fee and other people I know are much happier. Customer service with Amcrest is no good either.
