With the renewed American Express® App you have access to your account anytime, anywhere. View your transactions, your account information, your Membership Rewards points balance and more whether you are at home or on the go. It becomes a lot easier with the Amex App.

PROPERTIES
View your balance, recent transactions and download PDF bank statements.
• Log in with your fingerprint or with the login details that you also use on americanexpress.nl.
• Check your Membership Rewards® points balance and use your points to pay for all or part of your purchases directly from the App (if you participate in the Membership Rewards® program, excluding Corporate Cards).
• Always in control of your expenses with push notifications. You will automatically receive confirmation of your transactions on your timeline.
• Lost your card? Temporarily block your card in the App. When you have found your card again, you can always unblock it.
• View your PIN anytime, anywhere. You can also change your PIN.
Request your login name and reset your password.
• Stay informed of your expenses anytime, anywhere by enabling payment incoming notifications, balance statement, monthly statement payment announcement, missed payment reminders and spending limit.
• Easily find transactions from the past 7 months with our new search function. Search by name, filter by date and type of transactions.

WHO CAN USE THE APP?
• Are you already using an online account? Then you can immediately download and use the Amex App. Log in with the login details you also use on americanexpress.nl.
• No online account yet? Then create it directly from the home screen in the app.
• This app is only available for American Express Cards issued in the Netherlands.

Ratings and reviews

lot better than the previius one, but still missing a lot of features. A secure contact/messengibg option would be my #1 request: calling is not always an option, especially in more remote parts of the world. An internet connection however can usually be found somewhere. Other requested features: points overview, transferring points, making and managing travel reservations, disputing a transaction, etc.

NO ENGLISH AT ALL! 2022, AMERICAN EXPRESS HAS NO ENGLISH VERSION... C'MON GUYS... A M E R I C A N and no English??? All calculations of your payments are wrong, you need to wait a month to TRY to understand the final payment... The card is nice, is good to have a credit card, I like the service at the final, but the systems, the website, the app, is the worst ever...

Very basic app (and website) compared to the one in the UK. One would expect they would develop them in templates and only change the langue however, unfortunately, that is not the case. You can see the balance and transactions, payment confirmation is 100% stable and I have never had an issue, whereas with the ICS app there's almost always errors.
