I have not had any of the problems that some reviews have mentioned. So it's good to see that Amex have been listening to feedback and bug fixing. I can check my balance and my cashback rewards. I cannot confirm whether other cards can see their specific rewards, although I don't suspect it's as full featured as the website - this is only conjecture. I would like to see a visual update so as to have the app fall in line with Google guidelines. That being said, a lot of apps need to catch up.
Contactless payment doesn't play nicely with android pay. With android pay set as default cannot get payment to go to amex. Open app first (as directed in instructions) - payment doesn't work. Open app and login - doesn't work. Why not just allow the card to be put into android pay, like amex in US? You've apparently got apple pay working in UK, so what's the problem with android? Looks like I'll be using my amex card less often than I would like to.
Dreadful implementation of contactless payment. First attempt required the card to be inserted to complete a bank check. Second attempt required internet connection to complete transaction. Update: Amex Pay still not working, time to give up and cancel. Another update, another fail.
Amex Pay is slow, laggy and results in extra charges being applied. Often it takes so long that readers time out. Bad buggy software considering you are forced to use it if you want to use contactless. Why not use Android Pay like everyone else? Customer service related to Alex pay abysmal
Seriously Amex, why the hell can't you just make it easy for customers and adopt Android Pay? I have all my bank cards, yes all of them, except yours, in my Android Pay wallet and you decide to go it alone and make me have to change my settings just for you so I can use Amex Pay. Think customer in the future please. What's a stupid decision. Wake up!!! Please also implement Imprint for fingerprint access.
Used to be very good. But since the last update, statement info is not updating instantly like it used to. Just received an email saying my statement is ready, log into the app, and it's still showing the information from last month. It never used to do this so please fix it.
