About this app

This app is only for users who have received an American Express Go™ Virtual Card (1).
American Express Go™ is a simple way to pay for business purchases on-the-go —without having to borrow your boss’s Card or use your own money and wait for reimbursement. Download the Amex Go app to receive a Virtual Card from your employer. Use it for all business purchases that should be paid from your company’s corporate account.

• Add your Virtual Card to your mobile wallet to pay for purchases in-person
• Add the Card details online, over the phone or in another app, such as food delivery or ride-hailing
• Easily track transaction details and monitor your Card balance
• Activate your physical Card (if one has been sent)

Pay for business purchases anywhere American Express® Cards are accepted—up to the amount authorized and within policy. (Contact your Program Administrator for business expense policies.) Use within the dates listed under the “Card Info” tab, as any transactions outside this timeframe—or transactions exceeding the remaining balance—will be declined.

Use the “Card Info” tab to locate the Card’s Billing Zip Code, Expiration Date and Security Code as needed for online and in-app purchases.

When your Program Administrator invites you to American Express Go™, you’ll receive two emails in your inbox—a welcome email with instructions on how to download the app, and a separate email containing your enrollment code to register.

In order to register and use the American Express Go app, your company must be an American Express Go customer and must have issued you a Virtual Card. (If your company is not an American Express Go customer, please ask your company's travel manager to get in touch with his/her American Express Account Manager).

I was able to activate my card with the app but then later, even after uninstalling and re installing the app keeps saying unable to locate cards, please try again later. I confirmed with amex my card was active and the app does notifications when I use the card but if you click on the notification or app, it says card not found. I'm guessing not a lot of testing was done before launch or the test env doesn't match the real world.

The only reason I'm downloading this is to say this; American Express is one of the most god awful companies on this floating ball we call a planet. I would rather be bankrupt and living in a box, then ever carry an AMEX card. To all American Express everything out there. I hate you with all of my hate.

Will not let me log in, as soon as I touch screen it cuts off not allowing me to enter details.
