About this app

Free. No Ads. Amrit Punjabi is designed for children and adults looking to learn the basics of Punjabi; the Punjabi Alphabet (Panti Akhar, Panjabi, Panjabi Alphabet, Gurmukhi), common Animals, Fruit, Vegetables, Colors, Shapes and Numbers.

Its free, and there are no ads!

It uses simple images, sounds and text to provide an easy learning experience. The pictures were carefully created to help teach learn modern day items. For example, in the Punjabi Alphabet content, the traditional usage is 'i for inkpot'; a lot of students and writers today don't use an inkpot. Learn the Punjabi Alphabet! This is your own Punjabi tutor! Learn Punjabi! This is our contribution to the Sangat.

The application contains six sets of learning tools, including the Punjabi Alphabet. Global options can be set, which includes 4 sets of selectable voices, a slideshow option and a continuous looper option. Each set of learning tool has the word in Punjabi, the word in English and a phonetic equivalent in English. The user interface is designed primarily in English. The learning tool screens change every 7 seconds, and you can also swipe and use the menu options.

We dedicate these tools to all children, especially Simar, Bikram, Hunsaa and Ikaas.

Hi ... In any of the slides (eg the alphabet slides), there is a settings icon in the top right. In settings, you can simply turn off the Auto Slideshow option.

Very good for children. Great beginners guide. Has text and pictures. Text is also in English which helps children read words as they learn the alphabet and words. Suggest a second app for sayings. Like how to get to train station. This is advert free in 2024. Will not put of children. Thank you.

In any of the sections, eg Alphabet, Animals..., you can toggle the "Auto Slideshow" option off. You can also tap the image to repeat the audio (and timer).
