IF..."Over 200,000 recreational and commercial pilots use Hover to fly safely and legally. Check it out, we know you'll love it."....THEN....why has there been barely 10,000 downloads ? I tried the app, not vey good and takes forever to load. Not recommended. I give it MINUS stars, but there is no way to do that. So I am forced to give it one.
I would like to think it works better in countries with constant interaction. Tried using it here in trinidad and it seems to have useful information. But when it comes to panning around the map I keep getting it reloaded to my home position. Also the laws for drone flight in trinidad vary per drone class so an option to chance the map restrictions per class (asking this much for such a small country is alot I know) but it would be great. Also if there was a contact us in app that may avoid the need for negative reviews because I would have just contacted you there. Hope with development the bugs are sorted and the foundation builds to better. Also since it was "powered by airmaps I just decided to download that app (works alot better)
Loved this app on iOS but on my new Android phone it just opens to a yellow screen and nothing more. Please update since this was an app I used to use before every done flight to double check no fly zones.
The first page to load is the map view, it doesn't cache, constantly refreshes if you move it too far and is slow to load. The weather is limited to 18 hours ahead, the news feature is pretty good though it doesn't remember how far down you have scrolled and just refreshes. Did I mention its laggy too? I think it's probably just a ported app, it could be so much better.
Inaccurate and faulty The ui is simply horrible and the flow is broken. The map keeps reloading and re-entering but it jumps to all black before it does. The map is inaccurate, seemingly adding quite a bit of extra space to the real NFZs. And many other issues. Just bad all round.
Decent. Works well and is easier to use than pen and paper. Encourages good flight practices for all pilots. The interface is a bit off when it comes to writing down info... The line spacing is all over the place. But it's usable still. The interface as a hole isn't optimal. Overall lacks a few professional features we would like to have: 1. We would like to be able to add custom fields. 2. It needs a feature to log flights later, off-site, when we have forgotten to or could not log them on-site, with the ability to input wind speed and other info manually. 3. Obviously, Hover doesn't log automatic info when the phone is in airplane mode or outside of cell coverage, but it would be nice if we could input the info manually, or if the app would finish filling the form once the phone is connected to a network again. 4. Would be nice to have a way to automate the writing down of flight durations. I don't know how you would do this (read DJI flight logs? start a counter after a pre-flight checklist?)... We would pay money for a pro version if those features were implemented. Please keep improving this app! You are on the right track.
