(oneplus one, cm13) the strongest feature of this app by far is the app drawer, no other launcher seems to offer as much manual organisation. drawer folders have transparency issues though, which is annoying. secondly the range of gestures is brilliant, and makes using a 5.5" screen one handed a breeze. a weak point is the notification badges; compared to nova it lacks a lot of support for commonly used apps. I'd love to see a drawer option to blur the background picture so all the icons are clearer
A small feature request I've been using Apex for a long while now and I'm generally pleased with its stability and customizability. Lately, however, I've found myself organizing most of my apps into folders on home screen sorted by their purpose rather than alphabet or anything that the drawer offers. Custom sorting option in drawer is nice, as are app groups, but would it be possible to add folder support to custom sorting? That is, instead of just reordering apps inside the drawer having the ability to drop them on top of one another and create a folder. The way folders are implemented in desktop is perfectly fine, it would just be nice to be able to keep them in the drawer itself rather than (in my case) dedicate an entire screen to them. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Best Replacement Launcher Ever! Apex Launcher was created for me! It feels that way at least. Tried all of them for at least a week, but in the end I made the uber rare purchase of this app. Friendly UI. Practically limitless customization. Not very power hungry. Very stable. Tons of additional content in themes, icons, etc. If your all about making your phone yours, with no head scratching, convoluted, technical routines, then you'll probably be better off here, with Apex.
It may not feature some fancy features hosted by other launchers, but it is still a very effective and powerful launcher in its own right. It minimizes the animation and speeds up the system like no other. Battery consumption is optimal in all senses. I hope that the devs update it to comply with the newest version of Android.
Good but a few issues: Trying to drop an icon onto an icon group is like playing a video game. The target group runs away form you. You have to be fast. Even worse, the whole row or column may shift. Also, trying to remove an icon from an icon group leads to another video game - a little menu pops up but you can't use it - you have to fuss around until the main X at the top of the screen is visible, and drop it there. There needs to be a substantial delay after you stop moving your finger before this happens. Also, it should be really easy to get to Apex settings - just a long press should have it at the top of the resulting menu.
Where are the drawers? Up until yesterday everything was fine, but now my pro version launcher no longer has drawers and nowhere to manage them. That was a bummer too as I had everything organised but it's all just vanished for no reason! Please fix this error developers!
