They have yet to fix the lag and crashing issues and it's been months
I switched to this app after growing tired of the official Reddit app. This one has been snappier, had fewer loading issues, and is actually MORE faithful to the Reddit layout and spirit than the official app. Ads are also less invasive which is nice. The only real downside here is it isn't quite as pretty appearance-wise, but if you've used the desktop site reddit isn't very pretty to look at anyway.
This app uses up way too much background data now, which is unacceptable regardless if the connection is on Wi-Fi or mobile data. For 153mb of foreground mobile data usage, the app has 183mb of background data usage. Why is the app using more data in the background than in the foreground? (If I look at the Wi-Fi data usage, the numbers are even higher. This is a problem for those who have limited data connections.) I shouldn't have to restrict background data for this app. This app never chewed up this much background data before (typically used ~7mb/month), indicating something is very wrong here.
Reddit suspended my app due to suspicious activity (good) This app manifested that by telling me "you're doing that too much" when I tried to post. Was really frustrating and made me delete the app because it looked like it wasn't working. Do a better job informing your users of why errors are occurring. This was a 5 star app for me before this happened.
Hands down the best app for Reddit I've ever used. It's everything you wish 'the' Reddit app would just *do*, but just so doesnt. Why is the original Reddit app so lame, anyway? Sheesh....not a clue. Just, good thing there's Reddit is fun. For real.
