Still using Aldiko but very disappointed that there is still no way to sort books into series order. This info is contained within the metadata for each book so should not be difficult to implement. You've lost a star cos of that. Been using the free version for years. Tried others but keep coming back. Free version does everything I need but bought the premium to support the dev.
In common with many readers I hold my device one-handed, the left in my case, and tap with the thumb of the holding hand to advance pages. However, a tap with the left thumb, inevitably on the left side of the screen, brings back the previous page, and there is no way to change this. What kind of reading app makes no provision for personal reading habits and preferences? The ability to configure page advancing to personal preferences is a fundamental facility found on just about every reading app, but not Aldiko. I thought that this might have been available on the premium edition, but wasted my money. For me, this app is unusable, and I want my money back.
A total waste of money and time. It keeps crashing. I thought it'd have better features than the free version and it doesn't. And now there's an e-book that is not working on the premium version that works perfectly fine in the free version.
Read aloud issues: the issue of the app not applying my default read-aloud voice appears resolved, however, an older problem of "hanging" or stalling during read aloud for no apparent reason returned, forcing me to use a different format ebook and a different app for read-aloud. As a text ereader I really prefer Aldiko but there do seem to be bugs with the read-aloud. THANKS.
Very much like the app, very easy to sort books into categories and author. I would like to have a widget I can scroll through current books from my home screen though. Seems to be missing that one feature to make it more useful.
I have an LG V20. How do I get it to read files from the SD card? Love the app, been using it for the last 3 phones. Just have this one problem I can't figure out.
-Fixed crashing issues.
-Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.
