I personally find this app useful because I'm not in the habit of browsing the Internet with my smart phone and Android Police doesn't have its own official app. This provides headlines and the first couple paragraphs of the latest stories from the Android Police website and links to the full story on the website if it appears to be something you actually want to read. An official app with the actual stories would obviously be better, but for whatever reason the geniouses at Android Police don't have an actual Android App.
Why??? I'm not seeing the usefulness of this app since, in order to read entire articles, you're redirected to a browser. I could maybe see because of the notifications if I could filter them, say maybe like notify me of any and all Note 6 articles. Uninstalling and using my bookmark from my browser instead. For ease of access I'll just create a shortcut on my homescreen.
Doesn't deserve to be called an app. It's more like a short cut to the website, but with the addition of annoying intrusive ads on every page. Deleting, back to Android Authority for me!
Great for News, rubbish app This is a great source for breaking stories relating to Android. What a shame that the app doesn't do it credit. Just as you find a story you want to read, you get redirected to the website. I could have gone there in the first place. Maybe I am spoiled by Android Central. Their app is exemplary
Horrible! As soon as the app was installed my phone immediately began opening the Play Store app to various apps for me to install. It became a barrage of various apps apps to the point it literally took over my phone. I was able to Uninstall the app, finally. I didn't have it installed for even 5 minutes. I love the website. This app is unusable.
It's actually not by Android Police and they should really be paying attention to the damage that this does to their brand. It's an Android Police news aggregator, and only links to their website to read the articles on there. It's supported by ads, and making tons of money for the developer. Nothing wrong in that per se, but it's the bombardment of 5 or 6 ads when you click on one by error that is so irritating. You click back to go back into the app, it shows another ad, click back again, shows another, and so on and so on. I hope that Android Police aren't affiliated with this app in any way, and do the right thing and write a proper app of their own. In uninstalling this as soon as I finish this review. Beware!
