The Confession App prepares you in a gentle and comforting way for the Catholic sacrament of Confession (Reconciliation). Place a check mark next to items you'd like to confess and they appear in the Confession Guide section for use during Confession.
You can feel secure because no data is stored to the phone hard drive or to the internet. After Confession, you press "Erase My Sins" and your check marked sins are removed from the temporary cache in the phone or tablet. The sin check boxes are very large and easy to press. The overall tone is very welcoming and inviting. More sensitive topics are addressed with big words to help protect younger readers. Because no data is ever saved to the phone, no username or password is required.
The app also features an "Introduction" section with information on the history of the sacrament and general information about the grace and forgiveness offered by Christ. Catechism and scripture references are included in this section. In "About This App" drop down, you can contact us with ideas.
This App is designed for the Catholic sacrament of Confession (also called Reconciliation or Penance) as celebrated in most of the western world. However, it may be used as a general examination of conscience by anyone or any group. This app is approachable, beautiful, complete, and prayerfully reflective. Enjoy!
Big large check boxes make checking off sins very easy. In fact, you can click the text as well as the check box. The grey box turns into a shiny blue check mark. At the end of the examination questions, a text box allows you to type in any additional offenses that might be on your mind. Pushing the "Go to the Confession Guide" button transfers your check boxes and written sins to the Guide to Confession page where you are guided step by step through the sacrament of confession.
The app was especially designed to be easy to use in the confessional. The font is large and prayers you need to say are in big bold letters. Your sins from the examination page also appear in the first person so you can simply read them. At the very end, you are awarded the enjoyment of pushing the "Erase My Sins" button and are notified that "Your sins have been erased". Of course, technologically we are referring to the cache on the phone. But if you did receive the sacrament, you can rejoice in your sins sacramental removal as well.
The app can also easily be used for a nightly examination of conscience apart from the sacrament of confession.
It is a great app to recommend to friends, to use on retreats, and to recommend to bible study and faith sharing groups. The app itself can be the topic of a discussion group.

Just a simple APP providing postage prices at your fingertips
Due to the April 2012 changes in Royal Mail Price's, it was our opinion that folk may find a price guide useful. We w're trying to find some information on price's with our 'Smart Phones' sat on the table in front of us - We couldn't find any information without having to search through websites.
No 'Bells & Whistles' Just a price guide and links to the other postal carriers services.
Starting with Royal Mail due to the April 2012 Price changes....

This is an independent application. None of the carriers named are responsible for this app.
We are simply collating information freely available that they provide and making it available to your mobile device, including some links to their web sites. for yours and our convenience.

Hnefatafl, has been around for some 1600 years and predates Chess. It was especially popular during the Viking Age as the game would have been played during their long voyages and adventures, before a battle or on those long winter nights to pass the time. More than likely there would have been some form of gambling attached to the game giving it an additional element of excitement.
Being a simple game to set up and learn Vikings would have used what ever was available to hand, such as stones, glass fragments or animal bones for the playing pieces and a gaming area that would have been etched on a piece of wood, marked out on a rock surface, or even scored on leather if they could afford it. This made Hnefatafl and its variants accessible to all ranks and may explain why remnants of the game have been found across different parts of Northern Europe.
This app has been created as an aid for the tournament players and watchers during the Viking event Formby Oct 2013
Rules are varied - These have been set up local to the event. If used please provide feedback and we will try to improve the app, hopefully as the interest in Hnefatafl grows and spreads.
No bells and whistles. Just the Stations of the Cross as an aid to worship.
Minimal download. White on dark for low light.
Tap on the screen to enlarge - Front page navigation through all 14 stations. Produced as a lite standalone version to minimize download and allow for low light. Nice and simple.
A reminder of my army days, when I didn't have access to a mobile device for reference/learning - A simple mobile learning aid for the recruit or enthusiast. Ranks, Morse, Phonetics (Alpha, Bravo Charlie....)
I will endeavour to add the other services, adding and expanding on the app/aid, as idea's come to mind, and in response to constructive suggestion from users...
An ongoing project.
