Love the game, but it needs an update I've loved Wesnoth for years and was really excited to get it on my tablet, but it doesn't seem to work with lollypop. This was a huge disappointment to me, so I'd suggest trying the date no first to make sure it'll work on your system. I really hate to give this game one star, but until it works on my system, I can't improve the score.
I really enjoy this game but . . . It's not out on the note 4 just yet! Please oh please let it be released for the note 4. I loved this game on my PC and occasionally play it on that, but I would play it much more often on my phone! It worked on my S3 and it was played a couple of times, but with the stylus and the larger screen, it just seems like the note 4 was built for this! If it is released for the note 4, I will gladly give it 5 stars.
Sloppy port of a very good PC turn-based strategy RPG. This game is great on my PC. The strategy is deep, the story is engaging, and the replayability high. Unfortunately the devs seemed to have taken their money and ran as it's almost unplayable on a screen as big as my Samsung Galaxy S3. The text is tiny and making selections in game requires precision that thumbs lack. This is a game made for a mouse, and not optimized for a touchscreen whatsoever. If you have a lot of patience and don't mind straining your eyes for hours, this game is fun.
Needs update: Commands not working! This is one of the best TBS games I've ever played and it's very nice to see it on Android. I slightly dislike the fact that ANDROTH SOFTWARE is charging for a game that is free and open source in other platforms though. Anyway, since we're paying, updates are urgently needed! New Android devices do not have the search button anymore. Therefore, the command for finding the next unit really require a replacement! I would suggest adding an in game button (simplest solution!). A few more updates are also required. Please, check how the game behaves in newer devices like Nexus 7 and Nexus 4.
Balance thy name is Wesnoth One of the best turn based strategy games of all time and a great port to android. Absolutely essential if you are a tablet owner. This game has been under active development since 2003 and shows the incredible gameplay balance that can be achieved with 10 years of tweaking. Tons of fun but very challenging. Those who complain about the game being luck based just haven't spent enough time learning. Terrain, weapon type, enemy type, time of day, experience and when to withdraw must all be considered.
Like Warlords of Old Ever since my 200mHz PC back in the day, I have been looking for a game with similar depth and strategy to Warlards 3: Reign of Heroes. I have finally found it in this amazing open-source game!! Works with my Asus Memo Pad HD7 and my LG G3!!
Better handling of attack dialog sizing.
Added a safe fallback for all dialog sizing failures.
