It's a decent start. This app has potential but it seems unfinished. I wish I could connect to my unit from outside my home network. Access to more recipes through the app would be a plus. Some guides on times based on meat thickness and from frozen or thawed would be helpful. Food safety information would be good. Teaming with supplies like water containers, racks and bag manufacturers just seems basic yet missing. I like my WiFi unit but app support is solid but minimal and could be so much better. Outside resources help.
Hate the app I have the bluetooth version and hate the app! It cuts off, forgets the time left. It's pretty much garbage. I set the temperature manually and then have to use another timer to make sure I know how long my food is cooking. Also my phone does not alert to temp being ready or when cycle is done. Just garbage
So far so good Have tried a few foods. Beginning to understand the principles which is important because my food is purchased from local farms and thus most recipes need to be adapted. Not yet clear how much energy I'm consuming. After next electric bill might update this.
The device is great but the app is written very poorly. When it disconnects from the Bluetooth it then gets confused about the current state of things. It's impossible to just set it from a recipe because sometimes it takes the values and sometimes it doesn't. For a good app you should look at how pantelligent pans app works those guys have really put thought into it.
Pretty bad! This app is garbage. It is just a small list of recipes. The time and temp guide, just takes you to the recipes. Connecting to wifi is simple, but the app makes it more confusing than necessary. The instructions on how to set up and use the device are for the old model and not very good. I love the annova, but don't use the app, just use the built in timer.
*update* so contacted support. Apparently my unit was faulty so they sent me a new one. New one couldn't connect as well. Disappointed again. Worthless app. No point purchasing their WiFi cooker because it is unable to connect to the WiFi at all. Down right cheating consumers. Misrepresentation of product. Extremely unhappy. Should have gotten chefsteps joule cooker instead. :(
Thank you for your continued support and feedback, you're part of what makes this app better!
