Dec 11, 2017 The app doing it's job and secured but it seem drain fast the battery sometimes. When it very active on scanning the device. But the charging option it seem not compatible on my device. Since tried several time's, it stressing the battery to much and I will not use this feature but it ok since my own phone has own charging option built-in. I'm still like this app since it can protect my device. Nov 6, 2017 Very helpful feeling safe. But the charging feature not compatible on the device.
"Improved design of home screen" ...Yeah Right.., how can that be when we are IMMEDIATELY presented with SECONDARY App Functions & Other App Suggestions (which we could rather see in a Sub-Menu instead). Why create a Menu then, when you can just display EVERYTHING on the home screen.., which makes you think: How could it "Initialize faster" with all the spam on the home screen. Why not keep it Simple (like before)
AVG is usually pretty awesome at keeping my phone safe. It did, however, just classify the Wi-Fi function on my phone as malware. Since that's part of the operating system, not sure how that works out. *update- AVG hasn't given me any reason to switch anti-virus software until now. I don't mind ads, but I refuse to have them over my lock screen, enabling anyone to unlock my phone.
I used this program on my computer and loved it. It's the only anti virus software that caught every virus out there. I never had a virus, malware or worm when it was active. I also love avg tune up. Now I have the AVG ultimate on my cell phone. It has already caught a malware that Lookout did not catch. I love all AVG programs.
Three days in a row since the recent update, this app has used hours of cpu time each day for no reason whatsoever, which has significantly reduced my battery life. First day, I figured it was a random thing. Force stopped it, rebooted phone, and didn't think anything of it. Second day, it did it again. Uninstalled and reinstalled, set it up to bare minimum settings, hoping it was a strange glitch. Today, there it was again, wasting hours of cpu time and draining the battery. Maybe it is a new security feature - after all, if the phone itself is dead from a drained battery, no malicious stuff can run either.
Since latest update I have been receiving regular notifications that this application is using to much CPU and must be closed. Running on a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with all available updates installed. Please fix. I appreciate the reply however the message I am receiving is related to CPU usage. The link you sent me has to do with battery notifications and AVG is already set to be ignored there/has been for quite some time.
