Whether you're in IT support, working from home, or a student studying remotely, AnyDesk's remote desktop software has a solution for you, allowing you to connect to remote devices securely and seamlessly.

AnyDesk offers a wide range of remote desktop functions such as:
• File Transfer
• Remote Printing
• Wake-On-LAN
• Connection via VPN
and much more

The AnyDesk VPN feature allows the creation of a private network between local connecting and remote clients, providing additional security to users. It is important to note that it is not possible to access devices on the remote client's local network or vice versa. Nevertheless, after successfully connected over VPN, the following programs can be used over VPN:
• SSH – Ability to access the Remote Device over SSH
• Gaming – Ability to access a LAN-Multiplayer Game over the Internet.

After the developer's response: The "new" pop-up is not business use related. It shows up in any free version according to online forums. I was using it in my LAN with 3 devices. The pop-up says "Did you know? The free version of AnyDesk supports only a limited number of devices" Original Review: It started showing 30 seconds nag screens to upgrade for $274.80 a year. It is not even one nag screen per session. It shows up randomly. It is garbage now. Switched to open source RustDesk.

AnyDesk’s free version is for personal use only. Frequent use can trigger the professional use detection, but if you are not using AnyDesk as a professional you can submit a whitelisting request that is linked to the pop-up. This helps keep free use fair for everyone.

Using version 7.0.0 because this version works. However, now I always have to manually update my other apps one by one so I can skip updating Anydesk. I did know a workaround to disconnect with the latest version but forgot how I did it. Regardless, it was unusable like others have said. Version 7.0 works and you can get it from the website "up to down" or another place that has previous versions of apps.

AnyDesk is a remote access tool, so obviously, yes it can be used for scam attempts, but that's like attacking Excel because it can be used for tax fraud. The reason my score is low is because while AnyDesk's desktop product is solid, the Android app is very buggy. You can't terminate ongoing sessions. Often, sessions will just "hang", accepting input but never updating the screen. Sessions also sometimes just fail to start, but due to the first bug you can't even retry without force closing.
