Doesn't work for HTC 10 Updated from below... Now not working on my new HTC 10 as the phone doesn't pick up cards to register (firmware v1.3)... It works great on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Just remember you need to turn on the screen (but not necessarily log in) when using wake to pay - you can't just tap your phone without waking it up first. Also.. I bought a note3 battery that didn't have an NFC antenna (even though it said it did) so that stopped the app working and had to switch back to the original battery.
Took probably 30 taps and shimmying it around (no exaggeration) before my card registered. Why does it always say "Ready to pay!" even when it's not and it should know it's not because there's no network connection yet or it can't communicate with Google Services? (Yes, it actually needs to do that every tap.) Previously had background data restricted on the Google Play Service app which I'm sure didn't help, but doesn't explain why it worked half the time. Lately, paying works about 1 tap out of 5 and asks if I'm connected to the network, yes I am, and how does the app not know.
Not functional, at all. Talk about over promising and under delivering. I'm a 20 year customer of ANZ now looking to move my banking elsewhere. What senior manager at ANZ authorised this app to be published with this many major bugs... and with all the advertising I'm seeing to compound it. While I'm at it no development support of, or mobile interface for, ANZ moneymaker over the past 5+ Years also begs belief. Mobile is your PRIMARY customer interface ANZ! Clearly just don't give a ***** about your customer experience.
3/11/16: First Impressions: Works great! Nice interface, picked up my brand new AMEX card IMMEDIATELY, my old VISA took a few (10-12) slow swipes before it was picked up, but both installed flawless. So far so good, now to go out and use it! Will come back to report. Using Google LG Nexus 5X.
Unable to even register UPDATE: app works as described. This reciew has been updated to 4 stars because it works for me, however, sensitivity and response time could be improved. Thanks AMZ. As above. Tried using the app using s6 edge plus. I can understand that it is in the development stage, however, perhaps ANZ should have waited til it works (or at least be able to register) before releasing the product. Looking forward to it being functional one day
Not good enough to rely on This app will get there but isn't reliable enough to leave your actual cards at home which is the purpose of the app. Only works on about 1/5 terminals other times it doesn't register at all or tells the merchant "multiple cards detected". I understand beta tests but at least get the app to a point where customers want to use it.
