As back in the dial up we have had AOL desktop then went free. Sad to have to say bye since you are starting to charge and we have charter communication already have a IP. Find it strange that not being a IP provider you want to charge with all the ads on you email & home page. I think you will regret this decision in the long run. But guess new management thinks as users with all the ads we will pay. Wrong here. I think the last day is April 1st. It's not to big on a issue to switch to charter e-mail. And surf on google, MSN, yahoo, charter, etc. Your death sentence for greed.
Absolute Trash. Got it to get email on Verizon FIOS account, since aol now hosts the email. Can't turn off deleting the pop 3/smtp messages that should go to office outlook on Windows, as I only want to view them here and not delete them from the server. This app was designed by morons as out blocks that, a critical email capability on a mobile device for things that are mostly business inn the desktop. Have to remove this. I do not recommend this for any use even news.
I loved this app until you started putting news on the email tab. Due to the way it loads, every time I click on my first email, I end up on the news page. If I want news, I will go to that tab. I loved my email separate from this. Stop shoving news that I don't want to see down my throat!
Pretty bog standard email app filled with completly useless extra information such as the news and videos. I have a dedicated BBC News app and if want to watch videos I use YouTube like everyone else. Please just concentrate on making the email part of your app better and leave the useless stuff for other professionals to produce, thank you.
The sort feature is very weak, very inconvenient. It needs to be able to sort alphabetically, A - Z or Z - A, Newest or Oldest, Subject or Sender, etc. Also, it needs to be able to have a shrink feature so you only see each top line and the total number of emails from same sender. If you can do it from your computer, you should be able to do it on app. Come on AOL, step up your game.
I do not like the annoying news ads popping up in my AOL mail. There seems to be no way to turn this feature off. Not cool AOL
