Although a much cleaner interface, the forced ads are quite bothersome. The ads are so sensitive, just scrolling near them activates them it seems. I used to love engadget as a tech news source, but lately the political opinions seem to be more prevalent. I may have to try elsewhere if it continues.
I've used this for years and the app has had its ups and downs. The current iteration looks great but every minute or so, when reading an article, the text will scroll to a random point. It's impossible to read long articles. Very frustrating. Please sort it out.
The news on the app is great. I get a lot of updates and can research onward from a lot of the articles using links provided. However the app itself is hard to read. My screen will continuously jump to different parts of articles while reading without input and even after everything has loaded. It will continue doing so without notice. This makes reading long articles impractical. I am running a galaxy S6.
Whilst the UI and design is wonderful and 5 star worthy, the app is basically unusable when reading articles as the scroll position randomly jumps all over the place and it's been this way since the relaunch.
Update is great! Issues: no landscape view, no comments, and needs a more compact view of the news feed STILL JUMPS AROUND WHEN ARTICLE LOADING
Portrait mode only.. No compact view.. too much scrolling required on a tablet
