I've lost data because, unbeknownst to me, on my newer device, even though I opened a document from my file manager, it saved it to its external app folder, not from where the file was opened. If you're looking for a current, modern text (or code) editor, I'd recommend you keep looking, unless the developer open sources this one, or takes a renewed interest.

I started out using the free version and quickly converted to paid, have been using it since my first Android device. It's my go-to interface for entering larger passages of text, even if I end up moving it to some other app. The only small request I'd make would be to add a bottom border to the main window, any time there's text on the full screen the char/word/line count covers some of the content.

Really love the app it's very helpful when it comes to editing code there's been many times when I came up with an idea and couldn't do any thing without my computer and it even helps with editing things for the phone, for example mods for apps that support, usely you would have to download on your phone or just transfer a file from you computer just to edit the code in a file but this is a lot of help. My only problem is that when im editing a file with a lot of code it won't work.
