Editor of note! Honestly, of all mobile editors, DROID edit is sincerely one of the best. There is no bias here either... If you're an one's and zero's freak like myself and you enjoy "Notepad ++" then here is the mobile version! if not better. well done to the developers!
Good App for reviewing a little bit of code, view log files, or in emergencies even change some lines at the phone. Even more powerful with a tablet and a keyboard. The only important thing missing is syntax highlighting for markdown. I really can't understand why they would not support it. Overall, it's worth its price.
Impressive I've tried a small handful of editing apps and this one is the best. So many customization options but not at the cost of ease of use. Google drive (and other cloud services) integration makes it even better. Like someone else said, a markdown preview feature would be an amazing addition , one I'd be happy to pay for
Nice Notepad Everything works as one would expect, however when trying to view pages checked out from git, I get an EACCES style error because git was staged in the app's data directory, Chrome can't read it. Please either open up perms on that directory, allow us to specify a per-repository root, or drop me a line and I'll help you fix it.
SUPPORT FOR SFTP!!! If you're a student, and you like to work on programming assignments on your Android tablet, this is quite literally the best app on the marketplace - bar none. For those of you who don't know what SFTP is, it's Secure File Transfer Protocol - or FTP over SSH. It means you can edit files on a linux server as though they were local with full support for syntax highlighting. This app, in conjunction with JuiceSSH, allow me to do absolutely everything I need when it comes to C development, all from my Android tablet. I can't say enough good things about this app. 11/10 with rice.
Ugly bug causes lost work Nearly useless. Unfixed bug causes connection to be lost, randomly, without warning. Further, the same bug causes the user to be unable to log back in to the server- "retrieve file list failed". No warning, either, just randomly stops being able to save files or reconnect. Uninstalling, warning others to avoid. Sorry I paid for this one.
