I love how visually appealing this app is, even the widget on my home screen. However, the accuracy of the weather is pretty bad - seriously. It would indicate rain when it was only over cast. If I compared the weather outlook (hourly or week) to another more reliable weather app, I would start to question if I was looking at the same city. Radar was also pretty far off (and I'm not sure I like the cold choices, but maybe I'm used to a more traditional color selection for how heavy the rain is).
Quite a decent and well designed app. It's been accurate when looking at the detail. My only issues/annoyances with it are: 1. Needs to be more accurate when looking at a glance. You have to look at satellite images to be sure whether it will rain. It quite often says "rain nearby". It would be better if it said "Dry with rain nearby". But it should only state nearby if within 30 miles or something. 2. 3 hour gaps between data is a bit long. Why not hourly? Most apps now do hourly. Other than these, the general usage of the app, the widget and the appearance of the app are great. No issues with stability.
The realistic theme of this app looks nicer and is more fitting than TWC/Wunderground's flat material theme, but the user interface is cluttered and the displayed time confusingly doesn't change when I am navigating through the timeline (tapping on days/times). The app likes to default to Arlington VA when GPS is not available. The weather widgets are nicely detailed, however, and I like the live wallpaper a lot. If this app was more complete, giving precipitation graphs, scores for how optimal it is to run, descriptions, more advanced notification options, etc., it would be fantastic. TWC's widgets are horrible. As a currently free download,I am happy.
My favorite weather app was abandoned by its developer, so I searched for an app with good radar. I love this app. The display reminds me of something designed for the military. It's very readable, logical, and contains the greatest info in a small area, so you don't have to search around the app for it. One tap brings up a full screen radar. My old favorite had a slightly better (in my opinion) radar picture, but this app is imminently serviceable. It is my new favorite.
This app has become less reliable. My default location keeps changing. The widget on my home screen does not provide me with current conditions. I have to actually go into the app to get current conditions. I'll give this a bit more time to get these issues worked out because the information (once corrected) is good and the interface is pretty slick.
Very on and off. For instance at this moment it is showing a temperature of 6 degrees less than it actually is. The other weather apps that I have are only showing one degree difference between them and are much more accurate. Very disappointed with this app, needs to be much more reliable. Also, why does it keep asking me to tell it what the cloud cover is? None of the other apps find this necessary.
