About this app

With some previous experiences of transmissions that began to shape this pioneering broadcasting project at the end of the world, Fm Artika 99.5 Mhz was born on February 15, 1997, following the momentum of new technologies and a constantly evolving planet.

From the first moment, the emissions of the new medium generated repercussion in the community of Ushuaia, capital of Tierra del Fuego, particularly among the young audience, because of presenting an open and dynamic format, of good music and decontracted profile, with a style of diversity and contagious optimism, raising the objective of bringing neighbors closer to the institutions and organizations of society, but also to entertain and contribute to regional culture, the work of artists and the concerns of residents in general, always thinking of products of High aesthetic quality and local content.

Celebrating the 20 years of existence daily, the radio director, the journalist Luis Petit, continues to develop the news landscape entitled “Currency Currency”, from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, in which he has managed to keep informed of all the actuality to the faithful listeners, that each new day they participate expressing their voices and opinions in the ephemeral and perpetual ether of the air fm.

Thus, the permanent collaboration of the audience and friends of the radio at the top of our frequency before each new project continues to feed the flames of the passion to communicate and the vocation of service that commits us to provide the greatest daily effort, in the deep yearning to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in the southernmost south of Argentina and work to strengthen the popular identity of our place in the world.
