Compared to Spotify this is a non starter... Using it as was on offer for free with ee but will not continue with it once free trial has finished. I also use Amazon music unlimited which is also superior to this. Apple music is slow to use and does not give the best record choice when searching.... Does not recognise bands or singers as well as the other two music streams I have mentioned. Apple should be much better than this for the money they charge. Just glad it's free for 6 months... Then it will be gone

Apple music was my fav subscription services on my iPod touch. It's certainly cheaper than Spotify premium And other services. I would recommend to ANYONE who is looking for a cheap subscription service line Spotify premium. The only problem I have had out of it is that, even in the beta version, which I had tested, it requires an apple music subscription to access ANY music I have in iCloud. But it's very cheap, so I subscribed to it anyways. My point? By far, the best music app to date. Thanks Apple! Now, if only I could use my Apple watch on Android too..... :-)

After update review. The previous app had ALOT of bugs that have been gladly solved by this update thought now it seems even more difficult to download songs for offline playing. Previously whenever you played a song there was the option to download. Now it decides when to pop up or not. Nonetheless the new UI is beautiful and I enjoy most moments using the app. But apple bring back easy downloads!

All the radio stations literally play the same songs over & over again. Pandora radio has a much better variety! Other than that I love how I have access to all the latest albums just wish I could get a better variety from the radio stations. I don't want to make a playlist all the time. Also the app has been shutting completely off lately if it's not fixed soon I'm getting rid of it!

it's a bit buggy but it runs smoothly. on my macbook pro it runs just as it should but on my android device i cannot always add songs in my library and sometimes the song is stucked on loading and when it actually loads in starts playing right in the middle. will appreciate these bug fixes. if not, i think it's time to buy an iphone just for this great service.

The recent update won't let me turn it off. It seems to stay in memory and I have to restart my phone to get rid of it. It's also not as easy to use. Previous version was 4 star, this one, 2. Ironically, it allows saving your music library to SD card which is a great feature. Try that on the iOS version!

The new update has made it better, but there's still room for improvement. I can't delete a song from a playlist by just opening the context menu, I have to go to the edit mode and then do it. Playlist takes some time to update when I try to add a song from the app itself, as opposed to iCloud. One big feature I'd like to see is the ability to play songs on the phone's storage rather than just the ones on Apple's servers.
It is one of the best music appsout there. Doesn't have annoying adds, auto renewal of subscription, family plan is a big plus. Though a bit buggy, I love it. Love the new design. Though why did you remove support for split screen usage (For Android Nougat) ALSO I CAN'T SEE THE SONGS THAT ARE BEING DOWNLOADED. WTH IS THIS
Use this app all the time. Before I experienced a problem with constant crashing, but now it's working perfectly fine. Thanks Apple! UPDATE: Just saw the update, I love it! It's beautiful! And I love the bar for the music when minimized is better. I love that! Thank you Apple! UPDATE #2: There's a bug that's pretty annoying. When you start a song sometimes, the volume is up, then it turns it's self down quickly.
Great update! The day before the update I actually signed up for Spotify but this update made me switch back. The app is now very smooth and doesn't crash. One minor downside is it doesn't seem to fully support Bluetooth commands on my car as well as Google assistant. Minor but it would be awesome if it gets fixed!
Used to work so well. Latest update keeps asking me to join but not letting me use my existing account. Music takes forever to load despite adequate signal and having the songs "downloaded". Will change rating when issues have been addressed. Using on an android device, might be better on my ipad at home.
Tbh the only reason I use this is bc it has artists Spotify doesn't have. The navigation is easy enough. However, when you make a playlist, you can't sort it and it doesn't tell you when you've already added a song so you could potentially have that song on there five times and not know it. They took away the "offline only"feature which I liked because it made navigating the all easier when not on wifi.
The app is great when it comes to the layout and variety of songs and playlusts. It also ensures to be up to date with the most recent songs. However, the "New Releases" section needs a bit of work as albums which were recently released might be contained within the app but don't come up in this section. There us also a massive issue with the app being able to work seamlessly when moving from WiFi connection to mobile data. The app always crashes at this point and takes a disappointing amount of time to reload/recover regardless of how many times it is restarted and even a phone restart does not help. At this point I'd deem it average at best.
Ok app but I experience it is not user friendly. U cannot surf through artists back and forth like in Spotify. now I noticed a bug. When replaying same track over and over again the song start to overlap each other like two of the same track played alongside but with few seconds delay. Had to restart the app in order to get rid of the odd double-play-delay.
The only reason I gave this app 3 stars is because while the music suggestions is great, after a few minutes the music suddenly stops without me quitting out of it. The internet is also great, so it's not the connection. It's quite annoying especially when it occurs in driving. Think I'll be going back to Spotify, even with the ads it doesn't just quit out of the music.
I used to like apple music when I had my iPhone. I was excited to find the android version of this app but it seems the more it gets updated the more things I dislike. I find that I am always clearing up coming songs even when I am not on a list, the back button takes you all over depending on which screen you are in and lately some of my songs don't load or take a long time to play. You can't listen to music easily, it's disappointing
3 things to do to make this app the bomb... 1) Clean up the album artwork and make the text bigger in the player. ( No notification bar and back button mucking up the beautiful covers. ) 2) Personalized playlists and stations for music discovery. 3) Bug fixes and regular updates to keep it on par with the iOS version. Keep up the good work!
After the last update to a new iPhone like interface, there are several bugs found. 1. When I tried to repeat a song, the second time the song plays, it would echo. When I paused the music, the music still played but the echo was gone. However, as I wanted to play in the background, it wouldn't let me. So I have to close up the app and restart again. 2. When I want to close up the app, it will still appear on my tool bar on the top.
Downloading playlists for offline listening is buggy. Even though playlist shows all songs downloaded, when attempting to play certain songs the app stalls and eventually skips to the next song. Difficulty creating playlists when not connected to the internet. While offline have created new and edited existing playlists without the changes being synced to the cloud when later connected to the internet. A frustrating experience, will be looking at competition to see if they have the same issues.
Been waiting for the GUI update. A lot of the bugs on previous version has been fixed so kudos on that. I like it so far. My only gripe is adding songs to the queue. Used to be two taps and you're set. Now it's long press, scroll, tap "play later". My suggestion would be to have a swipe right to play later. Left to play next. Or make the existing menu that pops up fit in one screen.
As far as things go, it's a cool tool for keeping all of your music in one place. If you have used Apple products in the past, and you're making a switch to Android now, this is a good choice. You have all of the music you own on your Android device. The downside is that it isn't as good for use with some apps like Spotify is. As far as it goes, this app is okay
Absolutely horrible. I've tried using this application on a Galaxy S7 Active, and now my Galaxy S8+. I've tried both phones on Wi-Fi and cellular. I've checked the settings, checked for updates or FAQs and NOTHING. The app continues to fail to load my music library. I still can't access the music that I purchased on my old iphone. What the hell, Apple?
Songs always skip the last couple seconds and if a song needs to load it usually just ends up skipping it, also if you skip a couple song the song will be stuck loading but never play until you skip that song or restart the app. Very poor design and function... But they have all the music
Loved it, but since the new update I cannot download any new songs onto my S7 which is running the latest software. I click add which is done with no problem but then when I click download it starts to download but then "removed from device" appears. Please let me know if I can fix this on my side and if not please fix this bug, besides this Apple Music is perfect
The new update puts the design on par with the iOS version and that's really good. But still has a long way to go as it still has stability issues. Issues like the music sometimes stopping when I press the back button to exit the app are frustrating to say the least. Please work more on the bugs. The bugs make the experience very frustrating
Apple has finally made this app viable and functioning. Adapting to the last set dramatic changes was relatively intuitive for basic function, but fine timing is more complex. **Most recent update fail: Larger graphic hides album info on S7 Edge. Can no longer add album, only songs. Can no longer access album or artist info.**
App looks great. Performance is why I give it a 2 star. I've noticed the weirdest thing about this app. When I'm playing my music from iTunes match and I lock my screen, 98% of the time it stops when trying to play the next song... If I leave my phone unlocked and the screen on, the music plays just fine. Goes song after song without problem.
I liked the previous versions. At least it worked. But the new version has too many bugs. For example, when new track loads it plays flat and takes some time to "load" the equaliser settings. Also interface is damn confusing. Too many things happen on screen. My phone is Pixel XL. Cook bro. do something.
Better hope you own an iPhone, iPad, or Mac computer because the password system requires you to. Apple makes it too difficult to reset your password if you are using Android or Windows. I went to reset my password and received a message that I needed to use a "trusted Apple device." Really? Once I used my Macbook Pro to reset my password, I tried signing in via my Galaxy S7. Nope. Even though I entered the correct password it said he had to send me a verification code from a "trusted Apple device or SMS." Guess what: the SMS never went through, so I'll have to use Apple products again. Wow. Talk about throwing Android and Windows users under the bus. Luckily I'm a techie with a custom built gaming desktop, HP and macbook laptops, Samsung tablet, windows phone, and android phone. I'm fine, but most people are not me, though. Fix your security, Apple.
after the update the app works much more smoothly (the new up next list is beautiful) and doesn't crash anymore but when i try to download songs it doesn't work very well. also whenever i am listening to a song it cuts off the last few seconds and please bring back the album release years.
This app was working fine for me before the update. I have a Samsung Galaxy s5 and after the newest update, it keeps skipping songs halfway in and not letting me go back and listen to the full song. It's extremely buggy and I'm debating on whether or not to unsubscribe. It's a shame because I have all of my favorite songs on here.
the worst app! Waste of time. Netflix automatically redirects all users to this app for changing anythig in the account. Why would they do that? Just more work an hasstle in order for them to get your money. I cant cancel prescriptions or make anychanges because this app reqires me to accept terms on which they will use my info. Worst app! So is Netflix!
This new update is so glitchy. I can't really listen to my music, because it's either loading one song forever (and every other song I try) or it is skipping through each song without even trying to load. I have to restart my phone at least twice a day because of it.
I use this Android-hostile app, because this is the only choice in my country. It's extremely slow on my LG G5, buggy as hell and doesn't conform with the UI and UX of Android. Essentially a very bad Apple experience served to your Android. If you have other choices I strongly suggest to avoid.
AFTER NEW UPDATE: Everything is soooo much better you could probably put this on par with the spotify app now. Just wish you could download radio, seems trivial that you can't... OLD APP:this app is actually atrocious.. the service itself is amazing and i think offers much more than spotify, but what's the point if the android app is so terrible it freezes until you reatart your phone?
Extremely buggy. Often stops playing songs and skips in the middle. Doesn't let me access my playlists *even after they are downloaded for offline use*. Crashes often. Weak search feature (get one letter wrong and you're out of luck). Definitely not worth paying for if you are able to use Spotify.
Really poor app compares to Google Music. 1. Can't download to SD Card which is really limiting for low storage devices. 2. Playlists doesn't sync between Mobile and Itunes. Poor effort. 3. Quite often it just fail to download to device without any kind of feedback. 4. Pre-build playlists are very short. 5. Can't play local contents, only those downloaded from Apple. FFS fix your shit. It's crap. You can afford better developers.
Really, really frustrated. After last two updates, app stopped working. Kept bombing out as it was opening, couldn't use it at all. Before that, it didn't want to download any new songs. Been struggling with this app for months now, but had no problem with it before that. Currently, it's unusable. Want to switch to different music provider
I just wanted songs already downloaded instead, it decides to load the entire ablum wasting my data. Takes way to Long just to find songs to. It's not my WiFi. I have the best WiFi. I would rather spend money on Spotify than apple music. Spotify has more songs on there. It's a lot easier to for user experience. Would not recommend to even download this app
So... care to explain to me this. I'm paying for this damn app but it won't let me listen to some new albums because it's not available in my country. I live in Canada, for God's sake! What's the problem?? Also, it won't let me move the app to SD and it's so annoying. Another problem is that it frequently stops working if you change songs fast. Sorry, but it's not worth the money. I'm looking for a substitute app now.
