ANALYTICS

You can opt-in to send analytics back to Beats in the app. Analytics are designed to protect your information and enable you to choose what you share. Apple collects analytics information about your Beats app and your Beats products, such as the device software versions, device rename occurrences, and device update success and fail rates, in order to improve the product.

None of the collected information identifies you personally. The information collected will only be used by Apple to improve the quality and performance of the Beats app as well as Beats products.




REQUIRED APP PERMISSION

Bluetooth: To connect to your Beats device and perform firmware updates.




OPTIONAL APP PERMISSION

Location: To show the location of your Beats device's last connection or disconnection.

Notification: To send you notifications when your Beats device's battery is low, when your Beats device has a firmware update, or when Beats app updates are available in the Play Store.



You can use the Beats app even without providing consent to any of the above optional app permissions. However, some features of the service may not be available.

Ratings and reviews

I love Beats products but this app is awful to use (I'm on Android, specifically Pixel). I have to reconnect every time I open the app. I can't simply tap on the app and see my paired headphones, insteas I have to connect all over again. I miss when you could just use simple Bluetooth, but if they are forcing us to use an app, then it should work properly.

Not really sure why you even need the app, other than the location use if someone was to lose theirs. Luckily I have never lost mine. I use it with Spotify that's installed on my Android phone..I just open Spotify on my phone, turn on my beats and it connects within seconds and off I go. I've only opened this app 1 time and that was at the beginning to make sure location was on and everything else was done correctly.

Constant crashing. This app is a pain to use. Edit: This app worked for YEARS and was annoying however as of now it crashes on start up. I just got new powerbeats pros and the app will not open and it crashes immediately. I force stop it and try to get my earbuds connected as fast as I can because it'll crash within 5-10 seconds everytime without fail. No matter what I do, clear cache, reinstall it, restart my phone this app won't work at all its a storage sucking paperweight.
