About this app

Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content data for you:

Contacts
Message history
Camera photos and videos
Mail accounts
Calendars
WhatsApp content

Make sure to keep your devices nearby and connected to power until the transfer is complete. When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad and experiencing its endless possibilities. Enjoy.

It sucks that most folks using this seem to have issues! I've used this app for both my Brother's Moto G, as well as for mine now, too, both times it worked flawlessly. Everything we needed moved over, were. Remember that Google offers their apps on iOS, too. (calendar, mail, photos, drive, etc.) Makes the whole process smoother.

This is in top 3 worst apps that I have ever used, which is outdated and not user-friendly. It took 12 hours to transfer 90GB of data and failed several times, needing to reset iPhone as I was transferring from Samsung S21 Ultra to iPhone 15 Pro Max. Then, finally, I was able to transfer photos using USB-C within an hour. Move to iOS transfers only a few apps, needing me to download all other apps on S21 ultra one by one. Overall, it's a nightmare to use this app.

I am dumbfounded by the negative reviews. I don't know what I would've done without this app as I use my phone for business as well as personal, and my text messages are essential to maintain. I was able to transfer all seamlessly including photos and data. It was completed in less than 15 minutes over Wi-Fi. I was afraid to go back to Apple for the reason of data transfer. This app made it a breeze and I recommend it to anyone making the change. (FYI, Pixel 7 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro Max).
