Gangnath Youth Foundation believes that education plays a vital role for the development of a child. GYF is set up in 2012 and is registered under the societies registration Act 1860. GYF is working towards the upliftment of the children women and underprivileged sections of the society. Providing free education and scholarships to the children who are economically backward. Promoting and following the govt. “Sarv siksha mission”. Under this mission, GYF provides free education, notebooks, stationary and study materials to the slum children. We also provide the youth a platform to bring social changes and work towards their social responsibilities .Some of our past activities are:
Our first & foremost ongoing activity is promoting “Sarv siksha abhiyan” in which we are providing free education to the underprivileged children.
In 21st century in our country, there is a large section of women those are still deprived of education and employment. GYF started the sewing centre for poor, illiterate and unemployed women. In this sewing centre many of the women are learning the art of sewing clothes and this helped them to improve their socio-economic status.
Gyf understand the needs of modern world and advancing technology and in this series, we started the computer centre to provide free computer education to slum children. Our aim is to provide them high class computer education so that they can fulfill the requirement of advancing technology.
After the most horrible natural disaster, mountains ever witnessed, we joined hands and contributed in the relief work going on in uttrakhand. We collected dry grains, wheat, rice, pulses, clothes and utensils and a truck from our organization went for the relief work.
After the shameful and inhuman accident took place in Delhi, the public was filled with anger and rage. The 26/11 Delhi Gange rape incident shocked the entire nation and voices against the rape criminals started raising joining this national campaign, GYF joined hands with the nation and for justice, a candle march past being organized in Mahavir Enclave. A huge crowd joined us in this candle march.
Our dream is a “DIGITAL INDIA”, we are looking forward to a modern India with advance technology, so promoting digital education to raise the interest and motivation for the children. Education is the necessary first step in the development of slum children.
