About this app

The VINELink.com app allows victims and concerned citizens to access the nation’s leading offender information and victim notification network, VINE (Victim Information & Notification Everyday), conveniently from their mobile devices.

The VINE service is free and offers users the following features and benefits:
• Access the VINE online portal 24/7/365
• View offender custody status information from over 2,900 law enforcement agencies across 48 states (data availability is determined by agency)
• Register for offender custody change notifications by in-app notification, phone, email, text message (where available) or TTY device

Important Note: Android devices do not currently support push notifications or on-screen alerts. This does not interfere with registering to receive notifications via SMS, Phone, Email, In-App, or TTY. In-App notifications are accessible to Android users through the application.

I'm rating this at the moment 1 STAR, due to the fact that I CANNOT LOAD THE APP! I've tried multiple times, without success. 1 1/2 yrs ago, when I started using it, and did for several months thereafter, I would have rated it 4 STARS. It was easy to navigate, was helpful in the fact it made me feel safer, knew where and when my attacker was released, and you could actually use it!! NOTE TO THE DEVELOPERS, figure out what's going on, and fix please. A VICTIM'S SAFETY IS NO JOKE.

This app is great for people who are victims to be aware if they are in danger or to just stay informed. It can also be useful to the offender's family to locate them or to know about releases. I think it's cool that they have phone numbers for resources that you can save as well. Only complaint is that, I understand that security is the purpose of the app but it's aggravating to have to sign back in if you accidentally get off the screen. That is a feature that you should be able to toggle

I loved this app until I opted in to receive a phone call instead of text for an offenders custody status. I receive 45+ voicemails PER DAY from this service. They are in work release. Everytime custody changes (go-to work/back from work) I am notified each time. I've blocked the number only to have to obscene number of voicemails at all hours of the the night. Please fix this ice tried everything. I'm not even signed up for this offender in the first place! I'm about ready to change my number.
