Sign-up does not work with Google or Classlink. No care was put into student use of this service, and sign-up does not work on the website version either. Including a social media style "feed" in a k-12 practically mandatory messaging app is a little much, especially when considering that this goes against many core motivations of the "Away for the Day" policy. What kind of money is BVSD throwing down the drain for a service many other apps (like Gmail) provide? Dwell on that.

Interesting app, they don't want you to be able to login apparently

Why not use Gmail? This is a clear example of BVSD spending their money on the completely wrong things to give the appearance that they are innovating. It's criminal that taxpayer dollars are being used to fund up to $40,000 for this service when it doesn't solve a single real issue that the district is facing.
