MEATER® is the world’s first Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer that can help you cook meats perfectly every time.

The MEATER® app, together with the MEATER® meat thermometer (sold separately at https://meater.com/shop) will change the way you cook your meals, and make it a new and exciting experience. Using patented software algorithms, the MEATER® app will give you cook time estimates, and guide you towards the juiciest steak, chicken, turkey, fish or other cut of meat that you've ever cooked.

It’s time to break free from the kitchen or grill and let the MEATER® app monitor your food for you. When your food is ready, you'll receive audio and visual notifications on your smart device. This app requires at least one MEATER® probe to operate (sold separately at https://meater.com/shop). The MEATER® app supports all Android devices with Bluetooth® LE (Bluetooth® Smart) support, running Android 8 and Wear OS 3 or later.

Ratings and reviews

The app itself is bad and just got worse. It loses connection all the time with the thermometer, whether you have the Bluetooth connection or the meater+ block. Every couple of minutes I'll check my phone for an update only to have the "No Meater Connected" screen. Then when it finally does connect, the cook is over done. That pushed me over the edge to finally write this review. Over a year later and still the same problems. Hate this thing.

I Had a difficult start with the app not connecting to the Meater device, but I finally got it to do so after letting it charge a little longer. The instructions inform to let it initially charge for 2 hours, but mine needed at least 3 hours instead. I hate being forced to sign up to use the app. If I had known that, I probably would have chosen a different brand. Hopefully, however, it will all have been worth it. I look forward to trying it out soon.

Could be so good, but it's not. the UI is beautiful. has tons of intuitive features that are great. the problem is the actual device is terrible. I have spent countless hours on the phone or in chat with their customer service. cooking in a normal pellet style smoke it works okay. if you are within 3 feet. you move further and nothing. if you use a large tank style offset with thick metal you are going to disconnect constantly if you ever connect at all. ill be upgrading to thermo works.
