MEATER® is the world’s first Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer that can help you cook meats perfectly every time.

The MEATER® app, together with the MEATER® meat thermometer (sold separately at https://meater.com/shop) will change the way you cook your meals, and make it a new and exciting experience. Using patented software algorithms, the MEATER® app will give you cook time estimates, and guide you towards the juiciest steak, chicken, turkey, fish or other cut of meat that you've ever cooked.

I use it regularly and what I can cook with it comes out perfect. it's almost fool proof but quirky to set up and use, but once you figure it out it's good. The probe is a little too thick so it's not good for smaller items. They should have used wifi instead of Bluetooth because the range is too limited, and the base needs to be too near the probe (rain?). If your phone or the base are out of range too long it forgets where it is in the cook cycle. prefer using it dispite the limitations.

New update isn't great. Before I could sit inside the house and track temps with no issues. Now that I've updated the app the prob disconnects probably every min to 2 mins for no reason, well i guess 15ft is too far. Also, why do I need to get notified every 2 seconds when I go to a different app? 3 notifications every 30sec is a little much. Then if you turn notifications off the prob disconnects all together so I can't even use it. Probably going to find a different prob, annoying.

The Meater probe is a great product. The app is good but I still get a little confused getting a cook set up and started. Might just be me but doesn't feel intuitive. However, it's worth the trouble to get the feedback during the cook. I would have ruined more than one meal thinking I knew how long it was going to take to cook something. I mostly use my Meater on the rotisserie.
