2. Contacts: FamCal needs this permission to read contact from local device when you choose to import a contact
3. Location: FamCal needs this permission to get your location when you add an event with location info
4. Storage: FamCal needs this permission to read photos from Gallery when you choose to upload a photo to a memo or write photos to Gallery when you choose to download photos from memos

Ratings and reviews

we have been using this app for years, and it does almost everything we need to keep our family organized. My main request would be that you could select your default view when opening the app. I only ever use the "monthly" view but it defaults to "calendar" which only shows colour coded dots and has no details , which is the most useless of all the options, in my opinion.

easy to navigate. Each family member can have a different colour to help with quick identification. There weeks are numbered. There is a shopping list, memo. tasks, activities....so much on this app. I would like to see the weekends hilighted and bank holidays marked. overall, it's a very useful calendar which makes life easier especially the reminder option.

Brilliant app! Wife and I have been using this for around 9 years now, excellent calendar, notes, memos etc. We use it for the shopping list so you can add as you think of things. Better than a scrap of paper! Both of us were professional workers before retirement and got so used to electronic diaries when working, we just had to find something. Tried a few but this is undoubtedly the best. Once asked support about a different calendar view. It was in the next release! Excellent, 5 stars
