About this app

Air Quality App with Purple Air AQI, Wildfire and Weather data. The App uses the Air Quality Index (AQI) associated with the Pollutant from Air Pollution and Wildfires, PM2.5, that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says “pose the greatest risk to health”.*

This free Air Quality App provides both current and historical Air Quality Index data at your location based on the U.S. EPA PM2.5 standard, active Wildfires, and local Weather & Wind conditions.

Designed to inform you about the air you are breathing right now so that you can make educated decisions about your indoor and outdoor lifestyle activities.

--> Summary Dashboard with AQI, Fires, and Weather near your location

--> Air Quality Map using Purple Air AQI data

--> WildFire Map using U.S. National Interagency Fire Data

--> Air Quality Alerts!

--> Save multiple Locations

--> Suggested actions such as avoid outdoor activities or close windows and use an Air Purifier based on US Environmental Protection Agency AQI guidelines.

--> Air Quality Index & Wildfire* Data is updated every 5 minutes from trusted sources: Purple Air with over 12,000 Air Quality sensors worldwide and the U.S. National Interagency Fire Center

—> Weather & Wind Speed automatically set to Celsius values for Users in Non-US Countries.

*Wildfire data is US data only. Wildfire data for additional countries will be added as part of future enhancements.

Having air quality and wildfire info in one app sounded like a great idea. I would like to check the air quality near some wildfire but when I switch between the air and fire tabs it always resets to my location, not the location I zoomed to. If I turn off location permission for this app, it crashes on launch. Not very useful after all. There are always ads on the bottom.

Must have location turned on and it defaults to your location, so I deleted the app. You should be able to set the desired location and the app should use that as a default. The app is unreadable unless location is on. I'll just use purple air, which can be installed as an app through your mobile browser, and combine that with Watch Duty.

Great app! Clean interface that easily and quickly shows both air quality and fire locations (which is important in CA). It's easy to check air quality at any location, and the notifications when air quality issues arise is great (push notification). Highly recommend.

Thanks Ron for the feedback! We are working on adding a new Favorite tab that will allow Users to set multiple Favorite locations and alerts for each location if the Air Quality Index goes above/below a specific amount. Very useful for people with asthma, lung issues, or Teachers, or people concerned about Air Pollution exposure.
