finally updated, still sucks most features aren't working yet; says I'm out of juice desire having 9 bars; can't plan routes or see any old data since those features return an error message. amazingly poor execution on this Nissan. I'm not even mad, the level of bad performance is actually impressive.
Update sucks Thank you, Will Marler for posting about the update. I thought mine wasn't working and read your review 3 times before I figured out how to update. This app is horrible but I can't find anything free that works.
Please wait Everything in the app requires "sending request please wait" to be displayed. Want to switch screens be prepared to wait. This is the slowest most waiting of an app I have ever used. It takes over two minutes to turn on the heat in my car.
Subpar UX and CX Did you even test this with Leaf owners? Why is it so slow? Why can't I set recurring climate control times? Why do I have to request updates to my charge status each time I log in? Why doesn't it accurately reflect the miles I drove? Why doesn't it understand the timezone I'm in? Why why why... *sigh*
New update took a nice-to-look-at & functional layout and made it not nice to look at and less functional. The update button (you're still required to tap Update to get an update) is now tiny and obscure (took me 30 minutes to understand that it can be pressed), the vertical-dots setting button does nothing, and the app now has a new button that takes you out of the Nissan App and to an external web page. That's just nasty, if you ask me. Logging in now takes an extra 30-45 seconds whenever the app starts and that does *not* include an update. I have no idea what it's doing, but it wasn't there before, and sucks. Suuuuuucks. Frankly, this is the app that pushed me to try the alternatives.
Slow, ugly, broken Any way to get the old one back? I suspect not, since I bet Nissan changes everything on the server. New version only gives old status, update "button" (yes, hard to find) fails every time. Bah!
