Leaving your phone to charge at the bar, in a hostel hallway, or at a socket you can't see from your table? Relax. I won't take my eyes off it.
I am Pubby, and I guard exactly one thing — the charging cable. The moment someone unplugs it, I trigger the siren. At full volume, even if your phone is completely on silent.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Plug in your phone
2. Activate me
3. Walk away
There is nothing else to set up. No accounts, no registration, no ads, no annoying seven-screen tutorial.
ONLY YOU CAN TURN ME OFF
This is my pride and joy. The alarm can only be disabled directly inside the app — and no one can open it from a locked phone. Your phone's lock screen is my authentication. A thief holding a screaming phone can literally do nothing about it.
And no, turning the volume down won't help. The volume keys work on a locked phone — so for as long as I'm screaming, I push the alarm volume back to maximum every single second.
SHARED WATCH
You can share the guard duty with someone at your table: send them a link, and any trouble will instantly trigger the alarm on their phone too.
Plus, your friend doesn't need to install anything. A web browser is all they need.
WHAT I DON'T DO
I don't show ads. I don't track your location. I don't take photos of thieves. I don't monitor motion, your pocket, or Wi-Fi. I do one thing, and I do it right. I won't bother you with permissions I don't need for features you don't want.
DONE PROPERLY
No ads — not in the free version, not ever. I guard your phone, not your attention. No accounts, no tracking, no advertising IDs. And on top of that, a modern, clean coat of fur that matches its colors to your wallpaper.
ON GUARD SINCE 2012
I was here before this app category even existed. After years away, I’m back, rewritten from the ground up — modern Android, new graphics, but still the same uncompromising ermine.
PRIVACY
The basic guard mode works completely offline and sends data nowhere. When you turn on Shared Watch, the data is so heavily encrypted that not even we can read it in transit. No accounts. No name, no email address. I send out only a handful of anonymous numbers about what works in the app — nothing that leads back to you, and it can be switched off in settings.
Someone unplugs your phone, I sound the alarm. No junk, no nonsense.
