About this app

This app makes it very easy to record the start, end, and duration of working hours – especially when these are frequently interrupted by breaks and other private time. This fulfills the current legal requirements for recording working hours for dependent employees according to the Federal Labor Court's decision of September 13, 2022 - 1 ABR 22/21 – which also apply to trust-based working hours. The generated data can then be transferred to a separate (e.g., handwritten) form or entered into a program that, for example, maintains a working time account. The app can also assist with usage-related working time recording, as it can also record parts of the workday.

In addition, it is intended to support users in using their working time more consciously and efficiently. To this end...
- a text field suggests a break in work after 90 minutes of uninterrupted work;
- after reaching 8 hours of work, a text box encourages employees to call it a day if possible;
- when reaching 9 hours of work, a text box indicates that the statutory maximum daily working time of 10 hours currently applicable to employees in Germany is approaching - and should therefore be ended soon;
- when reaching 10 hours of work, a text box indicates that employees will exceed the statutory maximum daily working time if they continue to work, meaning that they should now end their day's work immediately - except in the legally regulated exceptional cases (see Section 14 of the Working Hours Act for details).
