Never-ending Frontier Challenge This is one of my favorites from childhood and after rediscovering it and playing several games, it still ranks high. Very challenging AI demanding varying strategy. Comments for the developers: the Android version does have a couple gaps compared to my recollection. I remember being able to send messages, to see a list of planets ordered by metal or gravity, and to surrender. One simple feature I'd love to see is omniscience after you lose. Always wonder which planets are controlled by whom.
My favorite Android game! This game is great! Simple mechanics, deep gameplay, good AI, great replayability. Every few games you win, you get to add a new name of your choosing for the stars! There are still a few bugs after the latest update (on my Samsung Galaxy S3): 1) Battle windows still sometimes appear empty and need to be scrolled down. 2) Sometimes tapping stars doesn't work, consistently, until I first pan the view. 3) The buttons in the "Continue" window are too small. Thanks for contuing to release fixes!
Very Disappointing I played this game in the early nineties and enjoyed it very much. I was excited to see that it is available for android. I downloaded it on to my new Galaxy note 7. Unfortunately I can't really play the game. All of the Default ships that are provided at the beginning of the game do not have enough range to explore any of the planets. I cannot obtain more metal or resources or engage in any of the fun stuff in this game. I have looked on line several times for a fix and so far I have found nothing.
Love the game but... Have played this game literally since the mid 90's. Love it. But...it was working great and after last update I can't name the ships. More accurately, when I try to name a ship there is no cursor and even if there was it won't let me click it into a position where I can delete the old name. For me, it breaks the game. Yes, i can use the default names but that can become confusing. I use a Galaxy S4. Please fix!
Newest update Horrific. All the text is now enormous. The left-hand status column now takes up 1/3 of the screen. Additionally, the window you open up to reassign ships from fleet to fleet is now larger than the tablet screen itself, so there is no way to close it. Lastly, when constructing ships, the new window has only enough space to see one model of ship, instead of the 3 of the old version. I want the old version back. UPDATE: version 1.2.9 has no real changes - now uninstalled.
Love the game. Hate the controls. Very difficult to use the sliders on a phone, even with a good sized screen like my Galaxy S5. Looks and feels like like the classic PC game otherwise. A fair port.
The release should make the UI/Controls easier to use. Please let us know if there is something we can fix.
- Fixing WAY TOO LARGE SCREENS. But still decent size buttons. Let us know if something doesn't work. 5 star reviews get the attention first :)
- Better sizing of Tech/Star Info, Better Button Sizing
- Fixed Super Large Enemy List
- Fixed End Turn clipping
- Fixed Message clipping
- Fixed initial orientation when in portrait mode
