Much improved... ..in latest versions. However still needs improvements in macro speed and calendar keyword recognition. Nevertheless a lot of potential. The best interface of any automation app. Reply to developer: I mean that if I trigger a macro via a shortcut it takes MINUTES to do its thing...which makes most automated triggers useless. 4 stars is very generous for a product that doesn't work correctly.
This app is incredible! So incredible that this one app replaced up to 5 of my installed apps. Talking Clock, Voice Alerts, PhoneLeash, Flashlight, Voice Recorder; just to name a few. This thing can even reboot my phone into recovery mode at a spasific time and day so i can remember to periodically do a Nandroid backup. Oh my God, a 5-star rating isn't good enough for this app. After 1 macro and I already purchased full version. Well worth it. I would give this app 20 stars if I could.
Please stop loading change log after every update At least give an option to whether or not load the change log, so that I can dismiss it. It's a HUGE file and takes FOREVER to load. The memory gets filled and the device become not responsive. Nobody cares about the old versions. So maybe show what's new for the last 2-3 versions? Yes -2 stars for that coz it's annoying.
I’ve tried 5 app in this category: #1 Profile - Auto Tasker, MacroDroid - Device Automation, E-Robot, Automate, Automagic * Automation. MacroDroid is the best. Beautifully implemented, easy to use, yet very powerful. #1 Profile: easy to use, it’s OK. Automate and Automagic * Automation: both very powerful, but Automate is not so well implemented and lacks some features, so I really didn’t like it. Automagic is the best option for someone who wants the utmost capabilities, but at the same time doesn’t mind a cumbersome handling. It is powerful for sure, but for the average user it would be more demanding to set it up correctly, I think. E-Robot doesn’t have any advantage over any other amongst this 5, and has a very outdated and terrible UI.
Not very reliable Triggers are not always working. If you have more than one macro connected to the same function they're in conflict. I still miss the function of bringing back previous state of things when conditions for macro are not met anymore. Tasker seems to work better. Sorry.
Loved it, except I just wish there was a way to not have to use the notification, i understand 4.4 and up has limitations, but if i remove notification icon as per settings, its buggy, wish there was a root workaround or something that it wouldn't fail without persistent notifications, as for the app itself, its amazing, no other words, never stopped using it once installed.
Improved system log with better formatting and direct links to macros that were invoked.
Set Variable action (User prompt) now allows custom dialog title and message.
Say time action (12 hour clock) now says o'clock when the time is on the hour.
Added Floating Button trigger.
Added Expand/Collapse Status bar action.
Other small fixes and tweaks.
