Great automation! I use it for a lot of things every day. Gives me better control over my device and what it does in various situations. Easy to use and fairly intuitive. Plus newer users can use "templates" to make some quick and easy macros. Nicely done!
OK, so I've been using this app for a few years now and I think the first thing I need to mention is that the developer ALWAYS responded in my situation at least. They've constantly added features and fixed bugs and the app works really well! If you are a little tech savvy this app opens up unlimited potential using your phone or tablet! I have mine set to send a command to my garage door to open when I get within a certain range of my house and then even has a nice little siri type voice welcoming me home and then turns on my music and sets my phone to do not disturb. All on its own! It's worth the money to pay for it especially considering that once you get familiar with the app you will start realizing the potential application in exciting ways. Get it and use it and you'll love it!
Can't believe I haven't rated this excellent app already. I used to use Tasker for automating certain tasks on my phone, now I use this, and it just keeps getting better! Developer support is great, he always replies. I have now been using it for over a year and have no intention to start looking for any other similar app yet.
Macrodroid works well and development is active and responsive to user feedback - both here in the app store and in the app's forum. Be prepared for the need for a rooted device to automate changes to some key options like mobile data and aeroplane mode. Nonetheless, even with an unrooted device, the options to tweak and customise your Android experience are extensive and genuinely useful.
I love macrodroid. I hate auto rotate, but sometimes it's necessary. Macrodroid makes sure auto rotate gets disabled at all the right times.
Enabling location for specific apps & then disabling it when I exit the app to save battery (and prevent my buggy ROM from bootlooping due to an issue with location being active on boot for some reason) is the main use I have for it, but there's so many options, it can do far more.
