About Swahililexicon Project
The Swahili language is basically of Bantu (African) origin and the mother tongue of the Swahili people. It has borrowed words from other languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, English and Arabic. The word "Swahili" was used by early. It is spoken mainly in African Great Lakes region and other parts of Southeast Africa, including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The founder of Gujaratilexicon Shri Chandaria had spent his initial years in Nairobi and had developed a special relation with Swahili language. Swahili and Gujarati were both close to his heart. On the first punyatithi of Shri Ratilal Chandaria, Gujaratilexicon family released SwahiliLexicon.
