Educational information about the colonial history of Rotterdam. Through the interactive city route and modern media such as animations, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality you discover the past, present and future of the city.

The absence of a building, street or square does not mean that a story is over, cannot be told or never existed. The absence of a building, street or square merely implies that the story must be told from other sources.

We are lucky that we live in this time and not in the colonial or slavery past. There is now freedom of choice and we can be who we want to be. But that hasn't always been the case. Download the app and find out why.

There are many places to discover. A short educational route has been specially made. It is just over three kilometers and takes about two hours. Follow the dotted line on the map from the Town Hall. Of course you can also visit all the places, but that is quite far. You might be better off doing that on a bike or something.
