The application fulfils it's purpose, but for some reason it connects on startup, that is undesirable. And on my phone Nexus 6p it supports only landscape mode which is very annoying. No fix for reported issues after update.
It's not working with android phones, security error occuring..
Version 3 is an improvement, but when launched on a tablet, it forces the app/tablet into landscape mode. Very irritating. I know you want to expose the tabs on the left, but that should be optional and happen when the tablet is physically rotated. There is nothing here that requires a forced landscape view, and it's very disruptive to work flow. 1) A simple 1x1 widget to connect/disconnect would reduce number of taps. 2) drop to cellular VPN once out of wifi range (and vice versa)
I'm biased as I work for Aruba, but VIA's configurability on the Controller side and ease of use is pretty great. Rock solid for me both to the corporate network and my lab.
The app itself is OK. I just hate when it autostarts after boot.
Latest Aruba VIA 3.0.3 includes a few security fixes and fixes for customer reported issues. New features includes support for Certificate based Profile download, support to mark ToS bits to outer IP header for outgoing packets and also support to include the user certificate chain for authentication.
