Great interface but unreliable I love the interface and features offered. That is when the app works. I still can't get over how frequently the app crashes or disconnects. It seems to be full of bugs. It's rare that it runs long enough to even begin trying out any of the features. For that reason it's not worth the money. It's very expensive for something that crashes or disconnects so frequently.
Disappointed I am unable to successfully get any distance without signal drop out. Range is limited to around 100m in any direction. With the original dji software I can control my Phantom 3 about 4 to 5 times further. Not happy. I am using a Samsung 6 S and the signal drops out frequently. Last week tried again and the program completely stopped. Waste of money and no help from the developer. I would like a refund but guess that won't happen.
So far a complete disaster and waste of time and money. Purchased the app for android for connection with the dji phantom 4. Followed all instructions and disabled the installed dji go app. After restarting over and over get the error of - cannot get it to connect to the dji servers for license verification. Used 2 different Galaxy 6s edge phones as well as a generic android tablet just to see if anything changed. Completely removed all dji go apps, restarted devices, etc. After all dji go apps removed, re-installed litchi and still cannot connect to dji servers. Read all (which isnt much and pretty worthless) instructions, uninstalled, re-installed, tried multiple devices, etc. Still cannot connect to dji servers for validation. So now stuck with an app that is completely worthless and have to go re-install my dji go app. If this app cannot even install and connect properly, not sure if i want to trust it to take charge and fly my drone.
First Drone Had a couple of issues when I first used app, emailed support, responded in a timely manner, and fixed my issues. Used app today on my LG v20 and app worked flawless, didn't crash when accessed setting menu, great video quality while in flight, overall worked perfectly. Worth the money.
Used it a few times for waypoints, and I'm teaching myself to fly with it too. It offers greater customizability for all the buttons of the Mavic remote compared to DJI GO, and since the interface is different, I 'm still getting used to it. But... aside from the ability to calibrate the IMU, compass AND gimbal, and check for/install firmware upgrades, I can't think of a feature DJI GO has that this doesn't. I find Litchi's interface cleaner and easier to use the more I fly with it, and this may just be me, but... I'd swear Litchi's using less of my phone battery than DJI GO 4.0.1 does for a flight in the same weather, distance and time span. I''d like it if the "auto-takeoff" function toggled to "auto-landing" when in the air instead of just disappearing, so I could take advantage of landing protection when not returning to home for landings. I'll update this review if my opinion changes. So far... nice app. Enjoying exploring, and appreciating the manual online.
Really Missing Some Things Using waypoints, there is no way to slow down coming into the last point (unless you set 20 additional points each decreasing by 1mph) which with zoom is impossible sometimes. HUGE oversight IMO.
- fixed crash in the settings with Phantom 4
Wifi video transmission, you can use the software for video, pictures. And look back at the pictures and video support functions.
