Good, but should be integrated into FBReader to avoid requiring root access I have both an Android tablet and smartphone, but only the tablet is rooted. I suppose it does give me comfort knowing that for the dozen or two books I am reading at one point or another, they are backed up in Dropbox with the latest page read. I only wish root access was not required, because my smartphone does not have a reliable and simple root method. Honestly, this functionality should be integrated into FBReader itself, and I would encourage the developer to look into working with the FBReader team to make the app far more productive and reliable. Having plug-ins helps make a program more useful, but having those functions built in to the core would be even better. I think that this would provide a better end user experience, possibly increasing market share.
Brilliant I'm enjoying this quite a bit. I've been using Dropsync to keep my book files synced up and the built in sync for placing. This set up causes the books to appear in triplicate in the books list. I would love to see a way to manage this list. I would also love to see a script to sync whenever a user selects 'Close FBReader.' Really, great work, dev. This is an excellent solution for a book junkie with multiple devices (for me, MAXX HD and Nexus 7).
seems fishy *dev respond was good, changing to 5 stars* it needs user and pass and it "preferably" asks for email. this seems like a scam for getting emails and passwords. just being a bit paranoid but I guess it is kinda warranted here.
Great work! Would really like to see you keep at it. Looking forward to some kind of tasker compatibility or an auto sync. And a log with sync info (really just success or failure info - had some time outs)
Works great when I remember to sync I find this app very useful. The only draw back I find is remembering to sync. I also use Moon reader and like its build in sync., but FB reader is more robust and will read books that Moon reader can't. So this is a good addition to FBreader
Too many permissions. Why does it want access to accounts? Suspicious. I'll pass. Besides, Google's own reader sync just fine without root.
v1.0.26 - Updated to use new Dropbox API. Added ability to sync book positions to Dropbox. Implemented part of the FBReader API to add "Sync" to the menu item. Removed syncing of "Recent" books, it rarely worked correctly due to timing issues.
v1.0.19 - Fixed several problems that occurred when using FBSync on Honeycomb devices. Confirmed to work now on Acer Iconia A500 tablets, expected to work on all Honeycomb devices.
