Wasted potential is the best description of this service. I use and love Profit Bandit (1 time $15 fee) and have tested Scanpower (crappier than PB AND huge monthly fee ?!) and FBA scan is in between these. The downloadable database is admittedly really nice. But the app itself doesn't have some basic features such as linking to Amazon product page which makes me wonder about the development team. Charging $40 a month I expect TOP performance and a professional app, this is neither. The ONLY cool/unique thing is the downloadable DB, yes, very cool. DL'd it to my Android in 10 minutes.. scans fast. Not at all worth $40 a month though. I will wait another 5 seconds a scan for Profit Bandit, which I can quickly get all the info I want from Amazon with tons more features in a very polished app, for free basically ($15 one time fee). FBA scan would knock my socks off In 2005... yes. not now with so much cheap cell and data coverage. Profit Bandit literally has 10 times the features, and USEFULL features. If Profit Bandit had the downloadable DB and even charged $10 a month, to me that would be the ultimate scouting app. This app stinks though for $40/month (HAHA !!??)
Would be better if it didn't lock my phone up The program works really well. It is very accurate and relatively fast. However, if I use it for any substantial amount of time, it locks my phone up and I have to reboot. I have a brand new S4 so I know it's not my phone. I have been debating on switching to Profit Bandit. We have that on my husband's phone (and like it alot)but it doesn't have a loadable database and I like that feature.
Works great But would be better with text search and a link to the Amazon product page.
I pay monthly for this service and also have problems with this app locking up and end up using profit bandit. It's detrimental for a business when you're on a book scout and it suddenly stops and freezes your phone, makes me wonder why I pay to have it, it's cost me my bottom line against competition when I'm on a scout.
Very disappointing! The data base file never downloaded so it never worked. It kept asking me to sign up for an account but wouldn't tell me how or where.
1. New downloadable pricing database now includes both book/media and non media items. It now should cover almost if not complete items sold on Amazon.
2. Fixed freezing issue after long time usage.
3. Add links to CamelCamelCamel, eBay, Google and other sites.
