I really enjoy learning with this app buh I think u should add up more features
This is a good app. I Think the only thing I have an issue with is that the Korean you learn right away is SUPER formal. Survival Korean isn't as formal as this and instead of giving you the vocabulary to learn, you are expected to know it or how to spell it. Those who are new to Korean of course cannot spell the long grammatical phrases right away. Overall though, this is a very useful app and I enjoy the knowledge it provides.
Let's just be honest here, I can't go anywhere with learning Korean without paying for something. I think for the people who do want to learn at there own pace they shouldn't have to pay for a premium package or something like that, but for those who do like to jump around they can pay for premium. With premium they'll get things that'll help them out when learning that language they want to learn. Also, maybe add like a test section. It'll really get people thinking. Whatever though, this is just my word.
I'm probably just being greedy (I did just start using this app a few days ago) but for languages that use different writing systems, I wish there were a section where we could learn that as well, because romanization often doesn't really work with the true pronunciation. Hangul is insanely easy to learn so I don't understand why it's not included in the non premium version. Also, I noticed that the app is mostly in formal polite speech. It would be great if you also included everyday polite and informal speech as well, since knowing all three forms is very important. I don't necessarily mean slang, but examples of a more casual form of saying things. Knowing formal polite is important for a work environment, but the other two forms are necessary for the rest of daily life. Also, one question, as I gain points by doing my daily lessons, does that unlock premium lessons? I haven't seen anything about that and I can't think of any other reason to care about gaining points. It would be so exciting if that were true.
Very nice guided learning exercises. One of the "native speakers" used in the app does not sound correct to my Korean friends. The audio clips that have the phrase read by two different speakers are the best for learning.
In general it seems to be an app more suited for those already somewhat familiar with Korean who want to improve. I was looking for something to help me work on my spelling more as I am good with the reading, listening and speaking Korean but lacking with spelling makes my writing poor. For this purpose this was one of the better apps I have found. However, my biggest issue is that there is no real verification process on the subscription, which is not at all cheap. I was looking around the app for the price of subscription and appear to have ordered it in doing so without finding the actual cost in the app. So a good surprise when a bloody tenner went from my account. It's not worth that much for what it is, don't bother with the paid subscriptions there are free services you can access online that are much better for learning the whole language and the differences between informal and formal. An be careful looking around the app lest you want to lose money.
This is a really expensive app. I'm not against paying. In fact I'm willing to buy it BUT no subs. I am sick of subs. So put a flat price on it and I'll be back.
