Great and Simple. A Little Too Simple Maybe My only issue with this app is that it doesn't give you way - or at least that I've found - a way to look at the actual chapters and their names. Even though the actual books sometimes have names for the chapters, Audible just list then as Chapter 1, 2, 3, etc. That might not be important to all, but for me it helps because I journal about what I read sometimes and it's nice to know the chapter names. Other than that, it's a great and easy app to use.
Easy to use and fun to listen! Everything is laid out easily and efficiently. There's also badges you can will which can give you an extra reason to listen. The 'channels' and 'news' are also fun to look through. It's a convent app that any book lover or anyone who wants to listen to something interesting can use and love! I've been using this app for years now and haven't had any trouble. But one con can be that the chapters can be mixed up and oddly placed. But other then that... it's great!
Freedom to enjoy books while multitasking. I downloaded this app after my sister had eye surgery and needed to finish her monthly selection for her book club. I took a listen and loved it. The first title I listened to was an uplifting, inspirational story read by the author. With my busy schedule, I have the time to listen to new titles when I'm shopping, doing housework or gardening. This is well worth the subscription price. Several books I have listened to more than once.
No more driveway moments! With the audio app I can listen to my book in my newer car through the Bluetooth connection to the audio system, then switch seamlessly to my phones speaker or headset when I arrive at my destination! No more sitting in my driveway listening to the end of a chapter on an audio tape or CD! I use the sleep timer worth a bookmark to read myself a bedtime story, and I love listening to hiking guide books while out on the trail...
Set your own pace, but no text version. My favorite part is being able to set the speed of the narrative. I read quickly and that translates into listening. Other apps don't have that feature and it's painful having to listen at a snail's pace. My single complaint is not having the option of flipping to the text version. I often switch between reading and listening. It used to be available but it hasn't been since the update and makes it difficult to find my place.
Best thing ever! I love reading but I work all the time all over the metro area and when I get home I pretty much eat and crash. I spend a great majority of my time commuting so audible has been great. I just listened to the Harry Potter series (which I've read a hundred times before) and I got the same book hangover I always do! Still nothing like having a book in your hands but it's a good second best.
